Hey, I have had trouble with hotsyncing my Palm from my home computer on XP and also at work. Here, it just does nothing when I push the hotsync button. I got this message at one point and I get it all the time at work..."Hotsync manager will start when Port ? becomes available" I have checked and there is nothing on these ports that are supposedly being used. Anybody had this prob. or know what could block a port that is not obvious? Rick

Okay...go this path to turn off the "leave copy on server" option. Tools->email accounts->next->change->More Settings->advanced then click the check mark out of the box that says "Leave a copy of messages on the server." Did you get all that? Outlook is great but crap is hidden all in it and any regular guy can't make simple changes such as this without tearing the menus apart!!! Rick

Yeah, I've got 256mb and it should be plenty to burn a CD unless you are working on lots of other programs at the same time. When I burn CD's I always make sure all other programs are closed and I don't do anything else for the 10 minutes that it takes to do it. But mem is cheap though! Should get more myself! Rick

That's why I quit using fireburner...your error message just reminded me. I had my computer loaded with memory and everything and it would do this to me also. I had to get a memory management program and devote a configuration to burn cd's. Don't know if this will help but you can try TweakXP to see if you can allocate more memory...how much do you have anyway? Rick

In another post, someone else had this problem with the same error message when they tried to boot up. Do you have CD Creator on there? They uninstalled this and it fixed the problem. Rick:angel

I d/l'ed latest post of diskeeper from Aaronxp last night and it was very slow for me...I just had it do one partition of my hard drive that was only 10GB's and it took over an hour? It was very fragmented granted. When I used ME (don't remind me) there was a software called VoptMillineum that I used and it was super-fast. I mean 5 minutes fast for the whole hard drive. I am interested to know if they made an XP version. Has anyone else heard of this? Any pro's or con's to it? Rick

Yeah Chris, I get the same thing and the darn program downloads sooo slow...I have a cable modem and I could download at very high speeds but I rarely get about 15kbps. I still think it is a great place to get stuff that I haven't been able to find on others like Bearshare. Rick

Quit bragging Chris!!! LOL...cool machine you got there...must be nice...I am moving along at 700mHz on a Duron chip that I have no idea how to clock (dont' think you can without altering the chip) and about 256MB memory that didn't make a bit of difference in my system until XP. ME didn't seem to know how to handle it...XP can't get enough! Running on cable modem...sorry for those that don't have it yet...it makes a 200 mHz look like a monster! Rick
