I've had this board for a couple of years now and I've had no problems with it. Apart from the on-board sound card being crap but then again aren't all on-board sound cards crap? I just want to have a cost effective upgrade as the 1.2 I'm running at the moment isn't fast enough, and I'm short on cash. I've looked at reviews of this board and I haven't found any bad words against this particular model, I have against other models but not this one. In fact I recall seeing a site saying it was the best board they've ever made.

Thanks bart of borg I had search the internet for an answer but I found so many different answers, I thought I'd ask for some one else's input. The EliteGroup website CPU Support Table http://www.ecsusa.com/support/table_amd.html says 133MHz = 2100+ but it always says 133MHz (0.13µ) = 2600+ so I wasnt 100% sure which I could use. Has anybody got any ideas if I can still get hold of a 2600+ and if so where (in the UK) I have looked and it seems like the Sempron has taken over this sort of size processor and as bart of borg says "Sempron is not a socket A CPU" so I cant use it. Or shall I give up and buy a new motherboard and processor, not that I can really afford it

I have an Elite K7S5A system board this is currently fitted with a Duron 1.2. Does anybody know what is the fastest processor i can fit. Will it take a Sempron processor. Regards

All i can see is the intro page there are no links to any other pages.

In useroptions.js near the botom there is this line var theme='default'; just edit default to theme you require.

Why not make a selfextracting archive. You can do this with the windows version of 7z

Check that USB support for keyboard & mouse is enabled in the BIOS. Hope this helps Regards Colin

If you are going to do a PDF version Please dont just make it a copy of the web site as when you try to print it long pages come out on one page & are unreadable. Cheers

Thanks for your replies. Because we hadn't heard from him i such a long time is was beging to think he may have been involved in the tsunami as he was a way over christmas.

I havnt seen any posts from greenmachine since 16th december when he said he was going away for a couple of weeks. Has anybody heard from him.

I have just read the sticky above about converting windows server 2003 to desktop are there any real advantages in doing this over using windows XP

As others have said if there was good documentation i would use it.

I think it may be asking for the SP2 cd not the slipstreamed cd. Hope this helps

Got a little annoying problem, can any one help? Although I hate to admit it, I've got NTL broadband , I had the problem of some pages not loading up and I couldn't view Yahoo Profiles. I did what eXPert said by adding my nearest Proxy server (Birmingham) and it seamed to have sorted the problem nicely and I was actually beginning to like NTL. The other day I came to log on to my hotmail email and something weird happends. It lets me log in to my email account but as soon as I click on to an individual email to view it, i get thrown back to the log-in screen. If i take out the Proxy bit in settings it works, if I add put it back in, it doesnt I've checked other sites where log-ons etc are required but they all seam to work. Any one got any advice?
