Aaron, go to: Tools>Folder Options>View>Check the "Show Control Panel in My Computer" option... Something must not be configured properly on your computer, because the Control Panel shows up all the time for me in "My Computer"...

Yea, it was probably burning too fast and that's why it exploded...Your CD has a speed limit of how fast it can be written to...Do what Drew suggested or buy a new burner!

I hate it when people have this problem and post it, anywayz, do the following: Right-click on "My Computer" and go to "Manage"...Now, in the left window pane, double-click on "Services and Applications" and then click on "Services". In the right window pane, go down to "Messenger", double-click on it, and choose "Disabled" from the drop-down menu! Press "OK"! Problem solved! BTW, it has nothing to do with Windows Messenger!
