You don't really need to take apart the controller... I can buy one of those extension cables for the Gamecube controller which cost about $10, buy a cheap USB cable like this one and then splice the cables and download the drivers which I already found! But I think I already have some USB cables lying around...
Is it possible to split the wires on a Gamecube controller, connect them to a USB cable, get the correct drivers, and use the controller on a PC? If anyone can find any information, please post it here since I would really like to do this...
Is this off a CD? Copy the CD to your hard drive, right click the executable, go to properties, then to compatibility, and choose to run it in the oldest possible version of Windows and see what happens...
I had the same problem with 3.x...Try doing a system restore (on XP) to the last time you installed 4, then install 3.x... Dunno if this helps... If it doesn't, REFORMAT!
