Kingbeezz, your Last Session could not be much simpler, so if you are not running nLite more than once, then you should be OK. Does your ISO install and run? Please post a screen shot of a Windows Explorer view of your Original CD. Enjoy, John.

amitureuser, I suspect your problem lies in your text mode drivers. You have included many drivers - most not the correct ones. The problem with text mode drivers is that the last one to get there is the one that gets used not the correct one necessarily as in normal mode drivers. You must determine which of these drivers your hardware really needs, then include only those. Please let us know what you learn. Enjoy, John.

A more nuanced response may be needed here. Perhaps OEM means more than I think it does. I have two OEM CDs (XP x64) purchased from Newegg with hardware. One has SP1 and one SP2 and neither have any hot fixes. If the term OEM includes Recovery CDs (supplied by a PC vendor with a new machine) then no telling what they have on them. Some have reported problems trying to use Recovery CDs. And perhaps some OEM disks come with hot fixes and I am not aware. Ponch is very knowledgeable and I suspect I am learning something here. I stick by my first post in that if you or someone else has run nLite or some other program against the original source before, you are asking for grief. Enjoy, John.

Kingbeezz and vinifera, it sounds like you are not starting with a fresh copy of your original CDs files/folders. You are asking for severe and strange problems even if it seems OK on VM. My standard: Please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Please report when you have a solution, so others can benefit. Enjoy, John.

amitureuser, is this all the information in the error message? If not please post it all. Where did the Intel driver pack come from? We also need more data, so, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Please report when you have a solution, so others can benefit. Enjoy, John.

jarem, welcome to the forum. On the Task page, at the bottom, is Create a Bootable ISO. Select this task and when you get there, do not just click Next. Use the upper left pull down menu to select what you want to do and complete making/burning an ISO before you click Next. You can do this now on an already processed folder by selecting only this task. Here is my standard information: Please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Please report when you have a solution, so others can benefit. Enjoy, John.

brad4cad, I suspect you are referring to nuhi, who has been on hiatus for some time. I have not seen your error before, but, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Please report when you have a solution, so others can benefit. Enjoy, John.

tomidis, you are welcome. Glad you nailed it. Enjoy, John.

fred_gaou, if indeed, you only need to copy Devcon.exe into the System32 folder, you can use the $OEM$ structure. Please see here. This comes from the Unattended Guide at the top of each forum page. Enjoy, John.

tomidis, I think it has come down to being able to run nLite under XP for x64 if you are not slipping an SP. This x64 thread has a method to get around this restriction. What was the update that was not installed? Several updates will not install using nLite. Enjoy, John.
-
tomidis, both of your files have the same hash as the ones on my system, so they are the same. When you installed your ISO, I assume you left the $OEM$ folder on the disk - true? If not, try that and post a screen shot of what is in your $OEM$ folder. Continuing, try running nLite only to do unattended install. Do no removals, tweaks, options or patches. Enjoy, John.

tomidis, I am really suspicious of your source and how SP2 was added to it by MSDN. I would suggest writing the original ISO to a CD and see if it will install. If it does, then make it only unattended using nLite and see it that works. I know it is painful, but little steps are what we need to get at the problem(s). Again, please attach your Rundll32.exe file (from nLited folder) so I can look at it. I assume you have extracted your ISO so nLite can work with it. Please post a Windows Explorer screen shot of the folder that came out of the extraction process. Enjoy, John.

tomidis, I have not seen this before and don't remember the old thread you posted under. I suspect it is not really a permission problem, but I don't know what it is. When you say What errors remain - all? Screen shots would be great if you can get them. I hope you are running under a virtual system. If not, please consider VMware Server or VirtualBox. Both support x64 and both are free. VMware is huge (>500 MB) but I have not used VirtualBox. It does not look like you really need the Uxtheme patch, so try without it and continue to leave out all your hot fixes till you have a running base. BTW, I see you are using an English version of Windows but in what language are you running nLite? More information is better and screen shots would be great. Also, please tell us about your source. Is it OEM, Retail, Recovery or what? Is it modified by any other program (RyanVM, etc) or anyone else? Please attach you Rundll32.exe so I can compare to mine. Enjoy, John.

tomidis, I am running XP x64 and have no such problems. So, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Please report when you have a solution, so others can benefit. Enjoy, John.

vinifera, I think you are going to be unlikely to get answers to most of your questions. This is what your VM is for - experiment. This applies to your Prefetch question - do a Google search for 'EnablePrefetcher' and play with the Registry key. Windows does not need any .NET Framework but some applications do (eg, nLite, Catalyst Control Center, etc). I use the latest (3.5). Do a search here - many threads about including .NET. I think some users do remove the Security Center (I do not), but I cannot answer your other questions - perhaps others can respond. Enjoy, John.

marcuscf, thanks for letting us know. You did not waste our time. Many benefit when problems get solved. Enjoy, John.
-
marcuscf, I just did a Direct Burn on a DVD+R/W with Verify (erased first) and it verified just fine. Enjoy, John.
-
marcuscf, if you are running nLite under Vista to create an XP ISO, that is probably not going to work, especially if you are adding an SP. I have never used the nLite Verify function after burning, so don't know if that works or not. Sometimes when burning CDs/DVDs, speed can be a problem. Reducing the speed can correct the problem. You did not say why the disk failed. What error message(s) did you get? I would suggest that you run nLite under XP and let us know how you make out. Please post screen shots. In closing, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Please report when you have a solution, so others can benefit. Enjoy, John. EDIT: Did you erase the R/W media first? If not, that may be your verify error.

vinifera, great! You are welcome, John.

peterhb, I mean - do not run nLite against the same source folder more than once. If you are going to run nLite again, make a new copy of all your source CD into a folder. We need to know more about your original CD. Please post a screen shot of a Windows Explorer view of it and your folder after running nLite. We also need to know more about what "Still can,t get it to work." means. Does nothing happen? Does the optical drive light blink? Does Windows Setup screen come up? I see you have included no text mode drivers. Do you not have SATA attached drives? Are you trying to use F6 for the SATA drivers? In general, more information is better. I sent you a PM about removing your Last Session_U.ini. It is not needed and contains private information, including your key. Some bad guys may grab it and use it, then MS will not let you use it. Enjoy, John.

Blunda, it is not clear to me what all you have done to your first source besides adding SP3. If you only added SP3, then you can run nLite against it and continue. If you have added/deleted other things you should start over with a fresh copy of your files, add SP3 and continue. Here is my standard inculcation: Please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Please report when you have a solution, so others can benefit. Enjoy, John.

tuaris, I suspect you are running nLite more than once against the same source. Here is my standard inculcation: Please make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Please report when you have a solution, so others can benefit. If you cannot find a Spanish AddOn for IE8, here is a procedure for creating one (although an SVC Pack, not slipstream). The thread is for XP x64, but is applicable to XP (32 bit). I use a saved Last Session each time I run nLite and have not problems. Of course, I always start with a fresh source. Enjoy, John.
-
vinifera, the Last Session is there for just the purpose of repeating an nLite run, so don't stop using it. Still, I would like to know why the one you posted did not have the Tablet PC removal? Please check your nLited folder and see if the tabletpc (no extension) file is there. I don't have one, even on my original CD, but that may be because I am running XP x64. Enjoy, John.
-
vinifera, bizarre! In the Last Session.ini you posted I do not see the removal of the Tablet PC components. Have you run nLite more than once against the same source? If so, this may well be the problem. Here is my standard inculcation: Please make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Please report when you have a solution, so others can benefit. If you have followed these, then start over and leave the tablet PC components there and see what happens. If you have not, start over and do everything in one nLite session. Enjoy, John.

peterhb, after rereading your first post, I don't think you are booting your CD. It looks like you are simply putting in your CD and seeing Windows Explorer open (in a running Windows system) and show the contents of the CD. It will not autostart because the autorun files are missing from your CD. To boot the CD, you need to enter the BIOS (usually hit Delete key early after power up or restart) and change the boot order or on some machines hit Escape key and select boot from CD. Please give us more details on exactly what you are doing. Enjoy, John.
