The Day Walker!, one more time. Tell us what is the make/model of your MB and we will see if we can recommend drivers. Later, John.
-
b-man, glad you fixed it and thanks for the report. Enjoy, John.
-
b-man, OK, great. The Users screen shot looks good as your test verifies. I don't know what is in your RunOnceGUI (none in the Last Session you attached), but I would be more suspect of the things in your hot fix section. If it turns out to be the RunOnceGUI, then attach the file you are running and we will take a look. Please expunge any private data first. Good luck, John.

b-man, the reason I did not see the IE7 installer is that it is after the IE7 updates. The installer should be before the updates. I think what -X- is basically saying is that your updates are not current and you need to look at them. After running your experiment with nothing in the hot fix section, please consider an Update Pack. RayanVM forums has several. I do not use them (and run XP x64), and do not know if they have one with no IE or with IE7. Why are you not using IE8? Will await your test. Thanks, John.

The Day Walker!, if these various driver files have the same name (xxx.sys), then the last one to get there is the one that gets installed - the way it is with text mode drivers. It may not be the correct one - install only the correct driver for the MB. The question remains, which MB do you have on THIS computer? Enjoy, John.
-
13vyathan, please see this. Others are also available via search. Enjoy, John.

The Day Walker!, I think you have the wrong drivers. What model MB do you have? Your first post says ASUS m4a78LT-M LE which is an ATI chip based board. Your RAID driver in your Last Session is labeled M3N78-EM\NVIDIA_AHCI_SATARAID. So which is it, ATI or nVidia? The ATI drivers are here. Enjoy, John.

b-man, thanks for the ini files. I am not sure what is going on here. Did you look at the nLite.inf for the Auto Login information? That file is full of private data, so please don't post it. I do have a couple of questions. I see you are installing WMP11. Do you have Boooggy's WMP11 Sliptreamer installed on your system? I also see you have updates for IE7, but I do not see that you have installed it. If not, may be a real problem. If you are willing to start over, try a run with nothing in your nLite Hot Fix section and see if Auto Login works OK. I use it as it looks like you want to and it works fine for me. It would also be interesting to see a screen shot of your nLite Unattended task Users tab. Enjoy, John.
-
b-man, Auto Login is enabled in the winnt.sif file and the user accounts are set in nLite.inf (compressed into NLITE.IN_). Both of these files can be found in your I386 folder (or AMD64 if XP x64). If you need more help it is important to attach your Last Session.ini and in this case your Last Session_u.ini. Since the _u.ini file contains private information you will need to edit it and obscure the the key, account names, PWs, etc. I should point out that setting up Auto Login in an unattended install leaves your PW in clear text in your Registry. You will see this in the nLite.inf. Enjoy, John.
-
The Day Walker!, the 7B Stop Code says that Setup cannot find the install drive. It is usually a text mode driver problem. Since you did not attach your Last Session, as requested in bold red above, there is not much more I can say. Please attach it and we will take a look. Enjoy, John.

stardotstar, OK, I'll give it a shot. What do you mean by "serial number" - CD key? Where are you seeing it? NLite does not copy the key from the CD. The key along with a lot of other information is copied from the Last Session.ini and the Last Session_u.ini files. The key is stored in the _u.ini file (it should not be posted here). Where did your Last Session files come from? BTW, you do not want to run nLite against a folder that has already had nLite run against it. Always start with a fresh copy of the original CD files/folders. Enjoy, John.

Thanks much, again, Kurt_Aust. Have fun, John.
-
jkey, thanks much! You are welcome and glad the forum helped you. Enjoy, John.
-
plaguelord, I don't know what you mean by a "regular version folder". I suspect if the files are the same as the original on the CD, it will be OK. Enjoy, John.
-
Sorry, plaguelord, I do not know the answer. You can certainly try to copy all the .VBS files in your CDs I386 folder to your current System32 folder. I don't know if anything else needs to be done. I had a similar problem and I just copied the one file I needed to the System32 folder. Search your CDs I386 folder (I assume you are running 32 bit XP but since you did not show us the top of your Last Session, just guessing) for *.VB_, expand all the files and copy them into your System32 folder. I am running XP x64 and have about twenty odd files of *.VB_ in my AMD64 folder. Please let us know how it goes. Enjoy, John.
-
plaguelord, you have removed Administrator VB scripts which will not bring the system VB scripts into the ISO. In the future, please attach large files, such as the Last Session (notice the "attach (not paste)" above in RED. Enjoy, John.

OK patriczw, I see - original screen shot was only the left side of the window. I do not have a suggested action right now and will do some more thinking. Please answer the questions I asked in my last post and also take a look at the SETUPP.INI file on the CD - looking directly at the CD not at the copy - and let us know if it also is blank. Thanks, John. EDIT: Please look in your System Log (right click My Computer-Event Viewer-System) and see if you have any errors logged like "Bad Block on CDPROM". Have you had any optical drive problems? Does the CD have any scratches, finger prints, etc?
-
patriczw, the CD label makes sense but the blank SETUPP.INI does not. How did you copy the files from the CD into the folder? If you did not use nLite, then please do. Simply navigate to the optical file using the browse button (nLite, Locating the Windows Installation) and specify an empty folder. I think sometime when you just copy and paste from the CD, you leave some files if your Folder Options (Control Panel) do not allow seeing all the files/folders. 5eraph make a good point about the WIN51* file(s). They do not show on your posted screen shot and should be there since the CD should have SP1a. Also, please post a screen shot of a Windows Explorer view of your CD. Enjoy, John.
-
patriczw, please open the file SETUPP.INI with notepad and post the Pid that is there. You should find the file in your I386 folder. Also post the CD label. You will see this when you look at the My Computer page with your optical drive and also the Properties of the CD when loaded. It should look something like CRMPXOEM_EN. This is my XP x64 OEM CD. Also tell us where the CD came from - retail, OEM, recovery, etc. Enjoy, John.
-
pansophysr, you are welcome. Have fun, John.
-
pansophysr, the answer to the first question above is YES! You can always use your Last Session to begin again with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders. Trying to find and change just the things needed is asking for trouble and I am do not know where to suggest to start, except to not start. Enjoy, John.
-
I have done a couple of repairs (several years ago) and I seem to remember that I was prompted for a key. Why don't you want to enter a key? Do you not have it? NLite will not create a CD that does not require a key. Either you enter it when you run nLite or when you do the install. Enjoy, John.
-
newprouser, if you will go to the Unattended Task-General Tab and click on the Help (? in circle) next to Unattended Mode pull down, it will give some details on the Repair option. Then I suggest you try and see what happens. We would appreciate it if you would report here. Thanks, John.
-
cogitocn, thanks much for reporting. Sorry you had to reinstall. Enjoy, John.
-
yellowsnow4free, have you tried with Ethernet (LAN) installed? If so, please attach your latest Last Session.ini. Enjoy, John.
