  1. Somebody on another forum mentioned that they played Doom 3 in a dark room with their headphones on, this got me thinking. Because I have to play with the sound down at home, I dug up some old headphones of mine and plugged them and played some Doom... ! Man, did I jump out of my skin!!! Now that I could hear all the little sounds and things, the game gets a hell of a lot more creepier... And I'm still @ Alpha Labs, apparently it gets much more scarier.

  5. When I installed SP2 I did notice the reboot directly after the install was extremely long, but other than that it's still pretty quick. What have you got in your start up?
  6. /me boots Doggie out the door. j/k
  7. 28.57% Other? Who is everybody voting for?! Arsenal and Chelsea have won the 1st 3 games. The gunners have scored no less than 3 goals a game where as Chelski have scored no more than 2. Who said Arsenal is boring?
  8. I don't drink coffee, but I do have about 24 cups of tea a week.
  9. woot!! Arsenal have broken the English premier league record of 42 games to create their own record of 43 games unbeaten! And it doesn't even look they will be losing anytime soon.
  10. I realised that all of this happens when I open the webpage on my local hdd. When it's live on the web, I get nothing. Oops.
  11. With the installation of XP SP2 IE now has the popup blocker. With the website I have designed I have a flash file showing on the website (to see have a look here ). Eveytime the page is loaded IE comes up with it's message that it's blocked the embedded file, which is the flash. Now I want to put in the correct html so IE doesn't do this anymore. I have tried to look at a few websites' source codes, but it doesn't seem to work on my website. Does anybody know the correct html to put in when inserting flash files?
  12. Do you by any chance have a 56k connection, VAPrince? because that could be the reason the update is taking so long. SP2 is 270MB in size after all.
  13. I played Doom 3 last night and I have not sh@t myself in a game like that since the original Silent Hill on Playstation. I am still at the beginning, where the demons have come and I am cr@pping myself! The darkness, and ESPECIALLY those freaky radio transmissions of ppl dying. *shiver* I can't wait to get home to play some more! B)
  14. Sorry cougar, can't help you there. I've reached my knowledge limit
  15. It could be a virus or spyware too. Make sure your anti-virus has the latest virus definition file and runa test. Download and install Spybot Search & Destroy and search for any spyware on your PC.
  16. It could also be a hardware problem. If it only happens when you are writing data, then it could be the hard drive.
  17. Does it happen when you go to a certain website(s), or intermittently?
  18. Hmm. What happens if you disable Autoupdate?
  19. Have you installed Service Pack 2? If you have, I have found that if you haven't enabled Auto update then the little red shield appears. Is it that or not?
  20. Thx guys. It's now loaded into Windows.
  21. Hey all I have a WinXP Home user that gets an error msg on startup that states (roughly): Windows cannot find the following file or it may be corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM You can attempt to repair this file using recovery console ...blah blah blah When I run setup and attempt to run the Emergency Recovery, setup doesn't find the current Windows installation. So I go into Recovery console and I have run a chkdsk from there and also checked the bootcfg, and alls good. Now what I want to do is copy the previously specified file to the correct place. How do I do that? Even better would be if you guys can explain how I can do a basic copy of all necessary files without having to re-install windows.
