  1. Well, well , well, beat me with a stick. The 3 minutes disconnect problem was caused by my router. I own a D-Link DGL-4100 Router and I had to deactivate the PPTP and L2TP ALG.

  3. On a RIS server, you can use the SIS (Single Instance Storage) option or something like that if I remember correctly... otherwise you could do something with a linux system with those file links. But, speaking about the original question, you can use the same $OEM$ folder for theses systems...
  4. I agree... I'll be deploying a server soon and I've seen a lot of question about this subject in the Unattended section...
  5. Yes you can but I suggest you use the "optimize" feature of CDIMAGE instead... it will store a file only once even if there is many duplicate across your ISO.
  6. Not true, My installation is based on Windows XP SP2 and I have C:\Windows D:\Program Files E:\Documents and Settings working perfectly
  7. You can have your Program Files folder on the D:\ drive as long as there is a D:\ partition already created and formated BEFORE you install Windows.
  8. too much zero! isn't 0010 executed before 001 ?
  9. You can download Windows XP 6 Disk Setup Set, from: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310994/en-us Don’t forget to choose YOUR language when downloading “Disk Setup Set”. Create a folder named i386 Extract “Disk setup set”. Open each image (using winimage or similar). Extract every file from each image to i386 folder. Now you have a complete “boot folder, holding necessary files to reach the console. Use your favorite boot loader to boot into this folder as a usual Windows. Attention: If you have a setup folder already named i386 (holding windows setup files), you have to hexedit (change name) on this “consol folder”. Thanks to EUREKA from the EasyBoot forum for this information
  10. You have to add REG.EXE to your system32 folder so you'll be able to use RunOnceEx key as usual in Windows XP. You can get it on your Windows 2000 CD, it is compressed with many other tools inside the support\tools folder.
  11. Well, I get this problem on a Windows 2003 Server SP1... I tried to change for another NIC and it doesn't change anything...
  12. I tried this one yesterday and it completely crashed my Win2003 Server! I had to reboot in safe mode and uninstall it...
  13. Hello all, I posted this question in the Windows NT4/2000/2003 section yesterday and I didn't get any reply... I am looking for a simple VPN client similar to the one already integrated in Win2003/WinXP... The reason is that I get disconnected after 3 minutes with the windows built-in client. Microsoft released a patche for this matter but isn't available to the public (you have to contact them ******). http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;840654 I want to install this VPN client to a Windows 2003 Server so I can configure a secondary domain controller from a remote location...
  14. Vista is due for late 2006, there is still a year to go... You really think Microsoft is going to end the support for Windows XP as soon as Vista is out? Did Microsoft stopped the support for Windows 2000 in 2002 (the year they released XP) ??? Of course NOT Think twice before posting mindless comments *** EDIT *** I'll take back my word since you are only 14 years old and you cannot have many experience related to this subject. Watch your writing, AwFullle

  16. Hello all, I've been searching around and I could't find any revelant information about this subject... Is it possible to have a (not to complicated) Web portal for people connecting to my wireless network at home? I mean having only access to a website where they could input their username and password?
