  8. what i am getting at is that i want to make a batch file for an attended cd that i dont need to edit after i write it. the reason for having the second file is just to put commands into which may get edited frequently, that way i dont have to rewrite the batch.
  9. i dont want to have to modify the batch file, i just want it to read from another to get data and then execute based on that data.
  10. is it possible to use a batch file to read a text file one line at a time and then execute a command based upon the data it reads in each line in the text file?
  11. i know i get annoyed when looking for code and all i see is an endless blue background. thanks for posting it. maybe people will follow it as a guide. one can only hope.
  12. i am assuming for your os, you are using xp. the file attached is the unattended driver from the original driver file. i renamed the winxp folder to lan for easy integration. just extract to $oem$\$\drivers, and of course add the info to your winnt.sif file removed
  13. in response to this post, the inf folder comes from the original driver file, the exe. and it does go in$OEM$\$1\Drivers
  14. those folders in the zip file are identical to the original. try to leep other drivers in different folders because they are easier to sort through when separate.
  15. in the agp folder, keep the files viaagp1.cat, viaagp.inf, and viaagp1.sys. in the ide folder, keep the files viaide2k.dll, viaidexp.inf, viaidexp.sys, and viamini.cat. in the inf folder, keep the files viamach.inf and viamach.cat. via hyperion 4.51
  16. when there is a download, i'll test it with 2003 and let you know of any problems, etc. in case you venture that route.
  17. i have made a set for unattended install. if you would like to try them, i will give you the link to download.
  18. is server 2003 supported? if not, will it ever be?
  19. check out runonceex and modify it so it executes that command at first boot.
  20. have you tried to run it at system startup using runonceex?
  21. there may be a program, etc. still running when the command to remove the directory is started.
  22. congrats gamehead! if only they had the tech they have today when i was in school. oh, they did, apple II. LOL!
  23. i think i am a male. ***looking down*** yep, definitely am.
  24. also you might want to try InstallRite. i use it to repack a lot of apps.
