  1. having had a closer look at the pic, i have decided that it is not an MSI board but infact an ABit Motherboard. So, with that i went looking on abits site for the C7MAX3 board - i still cant find it. Help
  2. I am looking at purchasing this motherboard off an auction Microstar K8T800 socket 754 I have looked on the website but i can not find it. Attached picture should give better idea of what it looks like. If some one could point me in the right direct so that i can get detailed spec and reviews that would be great. Thanks
  3. divorced, she tried to come between us, she lost.
  4. removing QoS makes no difference Nic1 is DCHP enabled Nic2 those are the settings of the card, there was a typo on a previous post. Nic2 is set full duplex, it has to be with the xbox You cannot set to auto detect with the xbox, will not connect at all whether one nic is disabled or not or even if you just have the one nic installed. xbox os: Avalaunch installed but have also tried EvoX from a boot disc both with same problem. FTP software is setup to connect to the correct IP address for the xbox
  5. Ran IPconfig on Intel Nic, results: IP Address: 81.xxx.xx.10 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 81.xxx.xx.11 changed gateway on xbox nic to same as above but as i expected no difference there.
  6. Response to PRY Protocols are the same for both NICs Client for MS Networks File & Printer Sharing QoS Packet Scheduler TCP/IP Internet Protocol All properties are the same for each one except for, TCP/IP Internet Protocol, which is: Intel NIC: Obtain IP automatically Realtek NIC: Use the following IP address, which consists of: IP Address: 192.198.0.2 {this is the IP of the Xbox} Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1 {this is address given in IPCONFIG} Response to Interceptor Tried creating a network bridge, rebooted machine and still had same problems as mentioned before hand. Thanks for all the help
  7. because when they are both enabled the internet stops functioning. And the ftp software WS_FTP 8 Pro always fails to find or connect to the xbox. However, if i disable the nic used for internet ftp works wonders. The same if i disable the nic for the xbox the internet works fine
  8. Hi In my machine i have 2 network cards: Realtek 10/100 Intel 10/100 The realtek connects the xbox to the pc so that i can transfer files two and from. The intel is used to connect an ADSL modem to the PC. The Xbox does not need to have internet access. Problem. I'm sure you will realise that i cannot use both network cards at the same time and therefore have to disable one. Is there someway i can have both enabled at the same time without it effecting what they both do. For example the Intel will always be used for my internet connection and the realtek will always be used for the xbox. The Realtek must have an IP stated in the TCP/IP settings, whereas the Intel card uses automatic detection. Any help greatly appreciated. If it helps im using windows xp pro SP1a Nick

  10. I apologize now if i post in the wrong forum, but i wasnt sure and posted here as im using XP. I want to know if its possible to create a shortcut that will open two or more unrelated programs at the same time and if so how. For example: I would like to start winamp and a program called audio record wizard both at the same time TIA
  11. I've checked every time, but you can check for urselves, they're attached. Last nite reinstalled, rebooted half a dozen times no user accounts. Computer was left on overnight when i checked this morning there are the same two user accounts again. As before, deleted them bcos i dont know the passwords. The strange thing about these accounts is that there are no folders for them on the PC like i would have expected. I know on my mates PC each user as a folder for there own files and settings. Like i said before, I dont use xplode or any other automated tool for creating the unattended CD. Its never even been downloaded. I've used the same disk on my laptop quite a few times, the last time it was installed on the laptop was about 3 weeks ago yet these user accounts have never appeared on it. I seem to think it might be a hacker or something. The laptop is very rarely connected to the net whereas the PC always is. Having said that my firewall is very strict. Unless I click allow when the popup asks it doesn't get in. The setting is set to ask for everything that might need access in or out. Thanks Unattend_Files.rar
  12. would suggest its nothing to do with the unattended CD's. to confirm checked all unattended files on my cd - nothing there. Did a clean install with the same unattended cd last nite. checked PC - No other user accounts. This morning 12 hours or so after the install discovered the same accounts again. Thanks
  13. also the accounts seem to appear some weeks after reinstalling with my unattended CD's Thanks
  14. No dont use xplode, infact i dont even use useraccount.cmd etc in my unattended installs. I dont use any of those programs that make light work of the unattended cd's - its too easy and not very challenging. Thanks for the input.
  15. Does anybody or have they noticed two account profiles appear on there PC. I am the sole user of this PC and just now I discovered the accounts set up on my PC: Jet Black Spike Spiegel TIA for any info

  20. I can't see what people found scary in DOTD, I found it quite lame. As for SOTD, well what can I say, oh yes, Bugs Bunny is funnier.
  21. Yes, but I might by wrong. Upgrading Windows 98/Me to Windows XP is actually a bit of a misnomer. When you upgrade such a system, Microsoft actually examines your installation, moves your documents and personalized settings to a backup location, and then performs a clean install of XP. Then, it goes back and applies those personalized settings to the new OS and moves your documents into the correct location (My Documents, which is located in a different place in XP than it was in 9x/Me). This is why it requires so much free space for the upgrade. So to sum it up. The files are there to do a clean install of XP, hence the answer YES.
  22. you can remove this directory but you should only remove it if you do not require .NET but it sounds like you have this update in another place on the XP CD
  23. as with the other comments on the height of the menu the same needs to be done on the header. If you scroll right it seems to cut off. Other than that pretty good
  24. My personal fave is Overnet which is part of the eDonkey network. Others I have used are: Direct Connect, DC++, WinMX, Bittorrent, eMule.
