  1. Thank you. That allows people to do their own research without biased opinions. Also people, you don't NEED to reboot to get prefetch to start caching. Just have task Scheduler on and go to Start > Run and enter this code. %windir%\system32\Rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks Works like a charm. I've also tested Prefetch on my system and others. It really doesn't make any difference except for a few nanoseconds.
  2. Where did you learn?
  3. Privacy is a key issue. Just get dad to talk with her, then threaten to remove the pc for xx amount of time. She may be looking at pr0n or cybering or who knows what.
  4. From The HotFix.net: "The Hotfix does agree with Microsoft that the "Windows XP Service Pack 3" is indeed just a collection of hotfixes and not any official SP3. We have recently updated our language on a number of pages warning users that the fixes we provide are an unofficial pack and that only expert Windows users should install them at their own will. The being said, we disagree with Microsoft in terms of what SP3 is. Our pack is indeed a preview to what the official service pack will be, as these hotfixes will be in Service Pack 3 as proven by Microsoft's own knowledge base. Searching the keywords "kbwinxppresp3fix" and "kbwinxpsp3fix" at http://support.microsoft.com/search/?adv=1 will provide you an exact list of what we give out, nothing more, nothing less. Each of these hotfixes can be obtained for free from Microsoft by calling their support lines. Will these hotfixes make your machine less stable? Yes, there is that possibility. Is that at the fault of The Hotfix? No. Regardless of which site these may have come from, they were created by Microsoft. If you are a normal user, avoid the package. But if you're a Windows enthusiast, like the type of people who are website caters to, then give it a shot at your own will. Who knows, maybe it will actually fix a bug in Windows XP that should have never been there in the first place."
  5. Perhaps it's due to RSS feeds?
  6. Your HJT log is clean too.
  7. Minor, but all the graphics (Online/Offline, Profile Card, PM, Report) all of those on that line are not level.
  8. Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 is NOT warez, rooter skunk .. It's a free product from a public listed company on the New York Stock Exchange. You Conepatus leuconotus wood pussy, get you're facts straight .. Microsoft is testing the product first with criminals to see how they hack it. You farandole fartlek, your just kissing in the wind .. If you don't understand the posts, then don't reply! I want a legitimate copy of Windows IE B2 as I have IE B1. I'm not concerned about people breaking into my computer as I have limited bits & bytes to steal, and several traps are waiting for them. At the moment I am Browser poor with IE B1 and FF 1.5 B1. I take the risks of bugs in the betas. But get this into your head - you cannot get a warez version of FREE software - get it, IE is free! Now be a good felucca and felwort off! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Untrue. If it is not a public beta, it is illegal. Saying you want it along with the following: That is a rule violation. Discussion of circumventing activation/timebombs/keygens or any other illegal activity will also not be tolerated. Hope that clears things up. On a server company we had to get after them for hosting IE7 Beta 1, because it is not meant for the public. Why? It's a private beta and that is illegal.
  9. 1. This is not a warez site! Links/Requests to warez and/or illegal material (porn, cracks, serials, etc..) will not be tolerated. Discussion of circumventing activation/timebombs/keygens or any other illegal activity will also not be tolerated. If you ignore any of the aforementioned you will receive a final warning. If you choose to continue, you will be banned without notice. MSFN Forum Rules Questions? Please contact a Moderator or Administrator.
  10. Was this issue ever resolved?
  11. Hah! That's the one I was referring to in my other post. People have skins to make it look exactly like IPB forums.
  12. Needs a lot of work. Bootup is very sluggish with it.
  13. I downloaded it from their site (IPB site) a long time ago and had it backed up. They don't let people even download IPB trials from what I can tell. The new site is like.. Whoa. Oh, thats surprising. Linkie to the developer's site? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If I find it again I'll link you.
  14. Or it means its a trial. Tarun, do you have 2.0.1 currently? Or where did you get it from.... I downloaded it from their site a long time ago and had it backed up. Oh, thats surprising. Linkie to the developer's site? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If I find it again I'll link you.
  15. That's interesting, because forum.maxthon.com is running v2.0.1(Trial) that has no limitations. Upon researching this, there was a time (for a few hours or days) that IPB released 2.0.1 trial that had no limits or anything and was completely free. IPB 2.1 looks awesome. I've seen forums that actually mimic IPB, right down to the icons that are free too. I'm testing one out now.
  16. Errr ? Maxthon forums are not accessible right now, so cant check it for myself... The last unlimited trial was 2.0.0 aint it? It became pay right since 2.0.1 Or did I miss something? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> From the Maxthon forums. Turns out IPB released 2.0.1 free and unlimited for a matter of two days.
  17. Foood's icons.
  18. Yeah they are awesome. I've gotten the last free (unlimited!) trial of IPB 2.0.1 (same as Maxthon forums) and have been looking at all kinds of mods and tweaks now. http://www.php-scripting.us http://www.dscripting.com Those two sites have a lot of mods too. Thanks prathapml, you're always so nice and helpful.
  19. Any idea where some of those mods can be found?
  20. I was wondering if there's a list of mods and such that Msfn has installed for their forums and possibly links to go with? I've seen several sites where the mods and such have special colors in their names and other nice tweaks/mods. Finally being able to get my site back up I thought I'd ask about the mods and such.
  21. Apparently you all missed the CCleaner rip-off there too. http://www.getfoxie.com/feature/privacycleaner/
  22. CWS is extremely easy to remove if you do a few simple steps.
  23. Also found this link earlier. http://www.qfile.de/dl/232482/winamp51.rar.html
  24. www.mess.be has made it install on Windows 2000.
