For Video driver to work you need to Add DXGKrnl service and some extra files as described here http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=23931&st=100&p=164570entry164570'>http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=23931&st=100&p=164570entry164570 and as already default applied in Make_PE3 where portable 7pe_x86_E.iso is booting from Grub4dos menu and will auto search for folder drv to Install the Video driver http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=23931

I think you can only use /Apply-Profiles for the case of pe3_x86 type and not for 7pe_x86 type ISO http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=23931

After booting with BartPE then try to use WinNTSetup2_x86.exe to prepare your HD for Install of XP Install of XP or Windows 7 from USB After Booting with 7 PE and by using WinNTSetup2_x86.exe and Setup ISO file in Virtual drive http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=24424

There is Mini 7 OS Size = 500 MB running in 0.8 GB RAMDISK by using WinVBlock driver. http://reboot.pro/9830/page__st__525#entry149407 http://reboot.pro/9830/page__st__650#entry155971

May be then try to make Portable Win 7 which allows to Install anything you like and meanwhile keep the drivers. http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=23553 http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=24424 Performance of Portable Win 7 in VHD booting from USB is much better than any PE

Could it be that these drivers are suitable for XP but NOT for Win 7 ?
-
driver_fix.cmd is essential and preferred in all cases driver_fix.cmd loads many drivers and start a lot of services where PENetwork is only limited to Network. pecmd can install drivers from Win7 OS DriverStore as done with desktop icon on demand but pecmd fails to install drivers when used with DriverPacks folder. pecmd will install missing drivers but does not update existing drivers. dpinst.exe is used via desktop icon on demand to install drivers from DriverPacks folder and dpinst.exe is used by driver_fix.cmd for automatic install of drivers from drv\x86 folder. The drv\x86 folder is searched on any drive and it can be used for the large video driver.
-
When I cancel driver_fix.cmd and then manually give drvload.exe X:\Windows\inf\usb.inf then the FSCapture 1.5 min delay problem is gone. Loading usb.inf will also Start Audiosrv service which probably is needed because of the click sound when using FSCapture Instead you can also open ServiWin Portable App from PStart > System and then Start Audiosrv will solve the FSCapture problem
-
Normally drivers are installed by driver_fix.cmd but when I press C for cancel of driver install then I get the same problem that you mentioned. So it is some service not running yet or some driver that is not yet installed and that might give the trouble. Do you use unmodified driver_fix.cmd and can you add proper LAN + WLAN driver from DriverPacks and add it in Make_PE3\PE3_mod\WIN7_drivers\x86 At first I suspected the video driver, but that is not the cause of the trouble.
-
Try the supplied portable version by adding to any drive folder PStart from Make_PE3\MULTI\PStart On booting 7PE it will search and Open PStart menu from which you can launch FSCapture portable App Whenever possible I use portable Apps from PStart menu which can also be used when Not booting with 7PE

Yes, I was forgotton that option is already available ....

In XP - IE8 then the link does not give your drive, but instead I get Google Drive Startpage https://drive.google.com/start?authuser=0#home Now used Win 7 IE9 - Download Link is working ....
-
It used to be that way, but with all different versions and sources it is easier and more reliable to collect the files each time and besides it does not take so much time .....

In file PE3-SOFTWARE_CUSTOM.reg the user is defined as Users\Default ; set the system profile to X:\Users\Default instead of \system32\config\systemprofile [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\PE3-SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\S-1-5-18] "ProfileImagePath"="X:\\Users\\Default" Desktop icons appear as defined in Make_PE3\PE3_mod\PE3_add\x86\Users\Default\Desktop And User Pinned\Start Menu is working Make_PE3\PE3_mod\PE3_add\x86\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\StartMenu In file PE3-USER.reg we have working ; Safely Remove Hardware - HotSwap - Thanks to JFX [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\PE3-USER\Software\HotSwap!] "AutoRun"=dword:00000001 "DisplayPDO"=dword:00000000 "SpinDown"=dword:00000001 "DFlags"=dword:10000003 "LangID"=dword:00000409 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\PE3-USER\Software\HotSwap!\NonHotSwap] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\PE3-USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] "HotSwap! Applet"="\"X:\\Windows\\system32\\HotSwap!.EXE\"" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\PE3-USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce] "HotSwap"="HotSwap!"

Using Win7 SP1 without adding Updates also worked for me. Good to hear that this solution is OK for you. No idea about Ethernet Icon ..... Did you let driver_fix.cmd do the job as scheduled or did you use PENetwork ?

The AHCI drivers for AMD and Intel present in MassStorage DriverPack when Integrated help indeed to boot with BIOS SATA AHCI Controller Setting In the winnt_sif of USB_MultiBoot_10\w_sif there is EulaComplete="1" Setting ;SetupMgrTag 01 June 2008 ; winnt.sif for Install of Windows XP from LocalSource on Bootable USB-stick ; Change file to your needs (give productkey and TimeZone), USB_MultiBoot.cmd Copies winnt.sif in $WIN_NT$.~BT folder ; ; Essential 8 Parameters and 4 Settings for Unattended Setup: ; FullName, OrgName, productkey, ComputerName, AdminPassword, TimeZone, JoinWorkgroup, ; and useraccounts.cmd executed by CMDLINES.TXT in $OEM$ Folder ; UnattendedInstall="Yes", EulaComplete="1", unattendswitch=yes, OEMSkipRegional=1 ; ; For Install of XP from USB we need two extra Settings in the [Data] Section: ; MsDosInitiated="1" and floppyless="1" [Data] AutoPartition=0 MsDosInitiated="1" UnattendedInstall="Yes" floppyless="1" UseSignatures="no" InstallDir="\WINDOWS" EulaComplete="1" winntupgrade="no" win9xupgrade="no" unattendswitch="Yes" [GuiUnattended] EncryptedAdminPassword=NO OEMSkipRegional=1 ; TimeZone=110 AdminPassword=* OemSkipWelcome=1 Unattended Section is Removed Completely as required for Install of XP from USB

Yes, the result is equal Succes
-
Yes, that will have solved your problem. Instead of changing in BIOS the SATA Controller setting from AHCI into IDE you could have followed the description on How to prepare XP setup Source. http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=24424 For Install of XP on a modern system with SATA Drives it is needed to use DPsBase.exe for Integrating in your XPSOURCE DriverPack Massstorage with TXT Mode Enabled. http://driverpacks.net/downloads In that case a lot of Extra RAID SCSI and SATA Drivers (about 120 extra) are Integrated which appear in the XP Setup BootFolder $WIN_NT$.~BT on Install-Drive and can prevent a lot of XP Install Boot Problems.

May be it is easier to use System Locale = German and then tweak the rest to en-US A good working 7PE is of course also handy, but in any case it might be interesting for you to make the Portable and Mini 7 VHD These days I mostly use Portable USB-harddisk and booting from USB for rescue and Install purpose.
-
But you can set System Locale = German Does that help to solve your problem ? Portable and Mini 7 are quite different. They are build by VHD_W7_Compact.exe and use the full registry of 32-bits Win 7 Installed to VHD and used as Source. Only those files mostly used in desired functionality are copied from the Source and can be considered as the core of Windows 7. In this way you get a small sized OS in VHD and which behaves as normal Windows 7 The reduction in number of files is also inspired by what was found to be working in 7 PE http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=23553 http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=24424
-
What do you use as Source ? DVD or fresh Installed 32-bits Win7 SP0 or SP1 and if Installed did you add any updates ? The source can be the cause of some unforeseen but hidden problems. http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=23931&view=findpost&p=170837 In general I prefer not to use 7 PE but to use Portable or Mini Windows 7 so that the relationship between registry and file versions is as good as in the Installed Windows 7 Source VHD. It prevents a lot of problems that easily can occur with 7 PE http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=23553 http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=24424 Also the keyboard problem is not present in Portable Windows 7. I have no detailed solution available for your present problem with setting German keyboard in 7 PE, but I think you can manage to find a working solution
-
In any case it is needed to set User Acount Control Off and Reboot. Also for Win 7 you must modify USB_MultiBoot_10.cmd and instead of 6.0 for vista it must be 6.1 for Win7 like VER | find "6.1." > nul But it is much more advisable to use better approach as described here: http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=24424 Install of XP or Windows 7 from USB After Booting with 7 PE and by using WinNTSetup2_x86.exe and Setup ISO file in Virtual drive
-
What Windows version do you use ?
-
In Make_PE3\PE3_mod\PE3_reg\x86 you find file PE3-USER.reg and folder plugins In plugins you see examples of Russian and Chinese keyboard Settings Make_PE3_42.exe can be extracted to any local drive, but root is necessary because of extreme path length in .NET support
