Hi, I'm wondering if it is possible to change some registry at the Windows boot. I'm trying to change some registry entries which are locked when Windows starts. I did some investigation and I discovered that key becomes locked after Kernel-mode device driver that implements the file system are loaded (I read something here about startup type.). So I need to make a change before that. Does anybody knows is this possible and how can I do it? Thanks in advance for any help. Cheers

Go here and download this tool. Update to altest definitions. Do a full scan of your HDD. I had almost the same problem and this tool removed malware. For me that folder created only on USB sticks not on all HDD's. Cheers

You are having really strange issue. I told you that NetFramework is the problem because I had the same issue as you and that was my problem. But I was using svcpack method, and RunOnce method, which you are using, solved my problem. You'll have to do various test before we find what is the cause of the problems. Here is what I suggest that you try: 1. Use same last season which I asked you to post, but do not integrate any theme 2. Use same last season which I asked you to post, but do not add NetFramework at all 3. Use same last season which I asked you to post, but do not use any tweaks, disable that page in nLite. I hope that we will find what's the cause in the tests I suggested. Also, never run nLite on same source twice, you need to do everything in one run. Cheers

I think I did not understand. To make what switch? If you are talking about AdvrCntr4.dll, yes it is necessary, Nero will not work without it. If you are talking about NeroPatentActivation.exe I'm not sure what that is for but it looks like the only file for serial checking, but it could be others too. Are you sure that your key is OK, could it be possibe that Nero blacklisted it? Cheers

Nope. It's still stuck on unlicenced usage. I uninstall it, put it back on, then redo the key, remove the file and it's still on. No idea what the heck's going on, but it sure is a pain. Well, I don't know what to say, that's really strange. Maybe you should first remove that file and then enter the key. Also, if you have some firewall other then Windows default you can tell me what file is accessing the Internet so we can see if that file is causing the problem. Cheers

neowillendit, read carefully what you quoted from Microsoft page: and it will update whichever version is installed on the computer Do you see? It says that it will update IE7 or WMP11 on computers which already has it installed. You are doing slipstream here. When you slipstream SP3 to you disk, and then integrate IE7 and WMP11 you also need to integrate related hotfixes. Disc with SP3 slipstreamed does not contain updates for IE7 and WMP11. As I already said you'll need to integrate it. I hope you understand now. Cheers
