    Memory leak

Guys, I'll need your help to analyse this dump myself. Compressed size is 2GB and there is no way for me to upload it with my 17kb/s upload speed. Cheers

    Memory leak

When you say to crash it you mean to try to force it to show blue screen or something else? Cheers

    Memory leak

OK, I stopped monitoring when I was down to 350MB, but I'm afraid that I don't know what to look in the log. I uploaded the log file, so cluberti, please take a look, and if you discover what the problem could be please explain me how you discovered it. Thanks. http://www.mediafire.com/?jxzmmzgeqth Cheers

    Memory leak

Well, I'm downloading something, and uTorrent is always running. But I did not have this problem before, and I always used uTorrent on Vista. I'm also downloading some files using IDM. But, I still suspect on some driver. But to be sure, I'll upload the log of memory when I'm done with monitoring. I'm currently down to 600 MB. So, maybe in 2-3 hours I'll finish monitoring and upload the log. Cheers

    Memory leak

OK, thanks for the help. I did everything in Perfmon and I'll start monitoring tomorrow, since it's late now, and it needs a couple of hours so leak takes almost all of my memory. I'm currently down to 160MB. Thanks again. Cheers

    Memory leak

I still don't think this is normal. I have now only 200MB free. Even if it's SuperFetch I think it's to much. Any other suggestions? Is there some tool or something which will help me to trace this leak, and I'm 100% sure it's leak. I was Googling and I sow few people having the same problem but nobody got solution. Cheers

    Memory leak

Hm, there is no Available on the Performance tab. There is only Total, Cached, Free. Anyway here are screen shoots: I see evidence of leak in Everest. Currently Everest is showing me that I have 760MB free and it's continuing slowly to leak. Also, look on the screen shots. Compare processes with Performance tab. There is no anything to take 2.25GB in total and to leave me with 760MB which will be less in few hours. Don't forget that SuperFetch is disabled, so I don't understand where all of that memory is going. Cheers
  9. Hi, It seems that I have a memory leak in my Vista Sp2 (fully updated). I had the same problem in Windows 7, but I'm back on Vista since not all applications I use are 7 ready. Anyway, back to the problem. Memory leak is very strange. It lasts very long. After maybe 6-8 hours it will eat 1 or 1,2 GB of RAM and it will continue to eat it. The strange thing is that in Task Manger there is no anything using that amount of RAM. There is only some svchost.exe which is using 60MB and all others are under. For troubleshooting purpose I disabled SuperFetch, but problem is still there. I did a full scan with Eset Smart Security, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Super Antispyware. System is clean. I have all latest drivers installed. Yesterday I left my computer on for all day, and I went out. When I was back I sow blue screen with message "IRQL Not LESS Or Equal", but unfortunately I did not wrote down other details and I can't find anything in Event Viewer. So I suspect that maybe some driver is causing this but I can't figure which. It also strange because I had same problem on Seven, so it's probably driver from same manufacturer. Also, when computer is down to 900MB free of RAM I can notice degradation in performance, and only way to restore RAM is to reboot, where everything starts again. My systems configuration is in my signature. Now, I would need help to discover what is causing this leak. Thanks in advance. Cheers
  10. I also think that Vista is good. I tried 7 RTM, and I had problems with it. Something was eating my whole RAM memory after few hours, and it was pretty much unresponsive when I was doing some video processing, where Vista is very good. I probably got problems because some driver or some of the programs which I were using were not compatible/7 ready. I'll probably wait a bit more after 22 October to upgrade, so I can see if there are some known problems/fixes. Cheers
  11. I think your problem is sound card. In the way you connected your speakers (just one wire, like 2.1 setup) there is no way that you can get full control. You need to get 5.1 sound card, so you can have better control. I had same problem, which was solved with new card. Cheers
  12. Well, I would say that it's expensive. I also never changed processor, but in the shop where I always buy my components they do it for free. So, if I buy in their show they change my components for free, but if I bring them component from another shop, replacements is very cheep. And pro say, they need 2-3 hours to do it? Very funny. Processor change can be done for max 30 minutes. Maybe overclocking can take more time, but I would say 1 hour top. And comparing to where I live, that price is robbery. Cheers
  13. Office Integrator, as the name implies, integrates service packs and hotfixes into the source Office CD, creates an ISO from which you burn a new CD and then install. Would not this method be faster than first installing Office, then the service packs, then the hotfixes? Or am I missing something in what it is you want to do? Yes, you are missing something. With Office 2003 you can integrate SP and hotfixes directly into the source. With Office 2007 you can't do that. SP's and hotifxes are just extracted with Office Integrator to Updates folder and those Sp's and hotfixes are installed after Office is installed, making total installation slower. Cheers
  14. Also, try running Malwarebytes in Safe Mode. Cheers
  15. I would suggest that you check your CPU temperature. I had the same problem, and when I checked my temperature it was above 70C causing my PC to hang when burning. Cheers
  16. New info: I solved problem using FreeRip with help of author of this great tool. It seems that Vista has some problem with reading info tags from .wav files which this program writes when converting to .wav. Problem can be solved if option "Write tags" is disabled. File->Settings->Options menu->Encoding page. This is little late reply, since I solved problem in time I posted here, but info may be helpful to someone else. Cheers
  17. Mara, thank you very much for your reply. Surely, office integrator is very helpful in applying service packs and hotfixes. Using office integrator, will I know which hotfixes is missing in my AIP? I think this is my main concern: How to know which hotfixes you have not yet applied. It is very easy to forget what hotfixes you have already applied and I have a feeling the Microsoft Updates is giving me wrong information. Thanks. If you integrate using Office Integrator, Microsoft Update will show correct updates, updates you need to integrate. So, you can know which update you need by using Microsoft Update. Then you download them all, integrate it, and then you install Office on the system. After that, go again on Microsoft Update to check if your Office is up to date. Cheers

    Resourcer 0.8.8

Hi, Where can I find command line usage switches? Cheers EDIT: Nevermind, I found it. Great tool, btw. Hope you can make it even better. EDIT2: I have one feature request if possible: Ability to export/import/replace/update using GUI and command line a RC file, like Resource Hacker can do. This would make much easier to automate some tasks of editing resources, usign AutoIt for example. Since ResHacker does not work on 64-bit systems, this would be great. Thanks. Cheers
  19. Microsoft Update shows correctly which hotfixes you need to integrate, but it has a bug and it can not detect that you already applied hotfixes. Use Office Integrator for applying updates and your problem will be solved. You can find link in my signature. Cheers
  20. I'm converting mp3 to wav for some other use, and it seems that converter caused this problem. I was using FreeRIP, and now I tried converting same file with other converter and problem is gone. Thanks for everybody's input. Cheers
  21. I did not tested RAM, but I can do it. I tried with disabling protections in normal mode, but its still the same. I use Eset Smart Security, and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. I have the latest Audio driver. I said it became total unresponsive, but not really total. I can still move mouse, and I say clock for example working. I can close folder where .wav file is, but after 5-10 minutes, and then after another 5-10 minutes Vista came back to normal. I think something is accessing this file, and creates some high activity on hard disk. Is there a some tool, or something so I can see what is accessing to file? Cheers EDIT: I did more investigation. I was wrong, this also happens in Safe Mode. I sow in task manager, that when I open folder with .wav file explorer.exe becomes "crazy". It starts using half of CPU and all of my RAM, and that's why Vista becomes unresponsive. Anyone have any idea what might be the problem?
  22. Hi, I 'm using Vista Ultimate x64 SP2 and I have a very strange problem. When ever I open folder where .wav files are present, Vista became totally unresponsive. Hard Disk starts working like crazy, I can see that from indicator on my PC case. It seem that this problem only appears on bigger wave files. I have only one file in this folder, which is around 30MB. When I open folder with smaller files, under 1MB everything is fine. In Safe Mode I can open folders with big files without any problem. So, something installed is causing this problem. Is there any way I can discover what is causing this issue? Any help is appreciated. Cheers
  23. You should read forum rules. There is no way to get Nero free, and nobody here will provide you a key, since it's illegal. Everything you said is already in this package. You only did not mentioned BurningRom. Well, when you install this Lite edition, just delete folder BurningRom and you should be OK. Cheers
  24. I had this problem with some previous drives. I just had to re-inset the disc until I get the files to show. There is two things here: You may try updating firmware of your drive, or your drive is failing (which was my case). Cheers
  25. He is not talking about anything illegal. He is just asking what option would be the best for him. Cheers
