  1. i've never tried logitechs before. i've tried the razer diamondback, didn't like the feel at all x.x as for precision out of the g5, and the mx518, which is better.
  2. btw my hands are kinda small, do you need large hands to use the mx518? mx518=optical g5=laser optical or laser better for gaming?
  3. 2 of my friends recommended me the mx518 5 recommended me the g5 2 recommended me the habu or death adder Im probably gonna go for the g5, but until then im going to do some more research.
  4. oops forgot to mention, this mouse is for gaming btw
  5. So yea, my a4tech x-750f mouse died on me today. only had it for 6 months and randomly stopped working. never buy from a4tech by the way. So yea, im either thinking the razer death adder or the logitech mx518? btw for the mx518, how is the feel on this thing? it looks all curved up o.O
  6. looks like my choices come down to XFX 8600gt and EVGA 8600gt Newegg evga link looks like the xfx is better
  7. for the 8600gt's which one looks best out of this list? The cards that are under $150 that is. ugh.. EVGA's over $150 x.x edit: evga 8600gt for $149
  8. I'm still deciding whether to get a 8500gt or a 8600gt. Most likely the 8600gt because its better but still deciding. which 8500gt or 8600gt should i get(example: evga msi, etc), im not familiar with which brand is over which in these series. Can you help me choose one for both 8500gt and 8600gt? If i get a 8500gt, i don't want to spend over $100 for it because i'd rather get a 8600gt. If i get a 8600gt, i don't want to spend over $150 for it because i'd rather get a 8600gts. For a 8500gt: this MSI 8500gt doesn't look bad neither does this EVGA 8500gt. For a 8600gt: i'm clueless
  9. do you personally think its better to invest in a dx10 card or just buy a better dx9 card? In the long run that is.
  10. will dx9(example: 7300gt) games be able to run dx10 games at all? If it does, ill just spend my money on a better dx9 card. If not, i will go for the 8x00gt's. also, what is HDCP and will i need it in the future?
  11. well they do work, its just that when im gaming, my keyboard and mouse locks up sometimes... you know, when you press a button to move forward and you let it go, and your character is late to stop and keeps moving for an extra second. i know this isnt my keyboard or mouse that is the problem because it only occurs when i have the latest drivers.
  12. http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=getarticl...amp;articID=318 im actually not sure which one of them controls the volts but the link above is a review about my board and he got the cpu to go up to 2.6ghz the point is what EXACTLY do i change?
  13. isn't mobility for laptops? i'm using a desktop by the way.
  14. is it true that your games run a little bit more smoother using MCE rather than using XP Pro? or is it all the same?
  15. today my friend gave me his radeon x600 se which he took out of his dell pc to replace my radeon x300. i remember a while ago i updated the drivers to my x300 and my keyboard and mouse would lock up in the middle of playing a game like CS. So i decided to use my previous drivers and everything was normal again. My previous drivers didn't work for this x600se, so i downloaded the latest omega ATi drivers, and now im experiencing the same problem i had before. How do i fix this? This problem ONLY occurs when i have the latest drivers. the Radeon x600se is specially made for Dell i think and so its kind of difficult for me to find the right drivers.
  16. But you won't see a 79x0 run a DX10 game/benchmark. It has been said that the performance if 8500/8600 based cards may be very good under DX10 games. There aren't enough to test with yet so it's hard to tell... thats another reason i considered it. alot of people are telling me to go with 7600gt's and 7900gs's. but the 8x00's might perform better in the long run of the direct x 10 games that will come out soon.
  17. i don't know if i did it right but heres a screenshot of my overclocking so far. does the settings look okay? i want to make sure im not messing anything up. 1st ss: my first attempt, changed mhz to 220. 2nd ss: second attempt, changed mhz to 225, and ht freq from 5x to 3x. sooo yea im not really understanding much of this. after my first attempt worked, boot up was fine, i restarted my comp and it didn't boot up . i kept hearing long beeping sounds, each beep was like 2 seconds each. so i got kinda scared and turned off my comp for 30 seconds and booted it back up and went straight to my 2nd attempt. edit: my bios won't let me change my voltage settings... they are greyed out.
  18. whats a good website to guide me through overclocking?
  19. hmm, i'll think about buying the opteron. Once i get the money, i'll go buy it. How do i overclock my cpu? just for a temporary until i buy an opteron.
  20. ehh, i really don't need that power from a cpu, even though it will be good in the long run. my amd athlon 64 3000+ is okay, just want something a little slightly faster. hmm, actually my temps are around 35 degrees Celsius for my cpu, maybe overclocking would be good enough and be a money saver? i've just never tried overclocking, so i might need some guidance with that .
  21. So i have my friends Windows Vista Home CD. It came with the cd key and all. My friend hasn't installed vista yet, since hes been hearing about all the negatives about it. So i decided to borrow it and install it, just to experiment with it. My question is that, since im going to install vista with the provided cd-key, will he be able to use the key since i already used the key? i don't wanna screw his vista by me experimenting with it.
  22. Thats a pretty good cpu. too bad my motherboard only supports Athon FX and X2. My Motherboard So i guess i'm just looking for a X2 AMD for now. That should last me at least a year. I just wanna upgrade so my computer will last another year or 2 ^.^, not that it won't but i like to upgrade little by little, just until i get a job. So i don't wanna spend too much on my next cpu. This one doesn't look too bad. So far upgraded: Western Digital 250gb 16mb cache SATA Rosewill 600W psu Whats Left: Video Card CPU
  23. Is the upgrade from Socket 939 to a Socket AM2 worth upgrading to? I have an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice Core CPU and was looking to upgrade to a Dual Core, most likely an X2 AMD cpu. I see that there is a better Socket out now that is the AM2. I was just wondering if an upgrade from the 939 to the am2 is worth it, like as in a huge performance increase. If i stick with socket 939. Buy List: X2 CPU If i go for socket am2. Buy List: X2 CPU New Motherboard DDR2 RAM (i know i can use my current ram but, i'd rather just go for the DDR2) Is there a real big difference between 939 and AM2? besides the fact that you can use DDR2 on AM2 supported motherboards. -Thanks.
  24. well it seems to be not too bad. Lots of good ratings and reviews.
  25. i don't wanna spend too much on my next video card, but if its really worth getting the 8600gt over the 8500gt, i'll go for it. How many pixel pipes does the 8500gt have? i can't seem to find how many. I see that one site says it has 12 pixel pipelines and another says it has 16 pixel pipelines. Im confused x.x
