I haven't tried it, but the link at the bottom of page 6 of this thread works.

I don't have specifics on the filechecking, I just know it's being done. I know this because I am trying to make a multi-boot iso image with multiple versions of WinPE on it, and the setupldr.bin file needs to be modified for that to work. If the file is modified then WinPE won't boot, and spits out an error message saying the NTLDR file is courupt. I'm still trying to get more info on it. I have some contacts inside Microsoft looking into it now. But no info as of yet.

They have changed alot with version 1.6. They added support for x64, Ramdisk booting, and more. They have added a bunch of new checks on files.

Hmmm... First, let me say, I wasn't trying to come off sounding like I was talking down to a "noob". I always try and help out where I can. Second, it might help if you remove the house sized "chip" on your shoulder. Third, from your comments in this thread, it seemed to me (and I could be wrong) that you didn't quite understand the topic. I say this, because the loader.bin that is used (and you were talking about) for CD Shell, isn't modified to point to different directories. It is the setupldr.bin file that you have to change the instances of "i386" to match your new directory name. Fourth, So I assumed (and again maybe I was wrong) you meant the setupldr.bin file, because having the source code to loader.bin wouldn't do you any good to change the number of characters from 4 to whatever number you wanted. To do that you would need the source files for Microsoft's setupldr.bin file. I wasn't trying to step on your toes, I really was trying to help out. Sorry for the mis-understanding.

No, no one has found a solution yet. Everyone seems to be happy using the old one. Unless of course you are trying to put WinPE (based off W2k3 SP1) on a multi-boot ISO. Or trying to add 64bit installs to your ISO. I'm working on it, but no luck so far.

I was doing this back in the day, before Win2k was released. Here is a Microsoft article on it. You can get the key terms you need to do some googling. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...b;en-us;Q214727

setupldr.bin is a Microsoft file, and no, they are not going to give you the source files for it.
-
Anyone else working on this? I tried replacing only the "i386" entries and not the "I386" entries. That didn't work either. I've tried the method of using Win2k3 SP0 bin file, but the WinPE locks up durring loading once it hits the desktop.

search the WinPE 2k5 help file for drvinst.exe It's a command line way of loading drivers into the WinPE image. You point the exe at the INF for the driver, and the location of the WInPE ISO source directory your building. It works great. You can add as many drivers as you need or want with it.

Just wondering if that helped? -

UpdateDriverForPlugandPlayDevices returns -5368703
Jazkal replied to rups_shetty's topic in Windows XP 64 Bit Edition
32bit applications can't access the 64bit registry hives. Well, they can, but it takes special calls. I know I have the calls, just not right now. I'll try and post them tomorrow. I don't know if this will help or not, just trying to help. EDIT: Try these links out MSDN Article on WOW64 redirection Blog Post on it -
This procedure will work, but .... You can't be logged into the account you are trying to copy from or to.

UpdateDriverForPlugandPlayDevices returns -5368703
Jazkal replied to rups_shetty's topic in Windows XP 64 Bit Edition
I know you said it is x64 hardware, but is it x64 Windows XP? or just 32bit WinXP? The reason I'm asking is because you can't install 32bit drivers on x64. Sorry, no idea on the error code. -
Unattended Installation of x64 Edition
Jazkal replied to goldfinger's topic in Windows XP 64 Bit Edition
WinPE 2k5, also known as WinPE v1.6 gets released May 1st, tomorrow. It is what BartsPE was originally based off of. BartsPE has grown to encompass lots of little extras, like plugins, and ease of use. It is not like BartsPE because it can be 32 or 64 bit. WinPE 2k5 also has RamDisk support (meaning it can be loaded via RIS, PXE, and ADS. And your second question, I'm not sure what you mean. -
I haven't got to the VIA raid yet, but you should be able to figure it out with this Silicon example. For the Silicon drivers: Add these files to the AMD64 folder: Si3112.sys SiWinAcc.sys SI3112.inf SilSupp.cpl Files that need to be updated (located in AMD64 folder): drvindex.INF DOSNET.INF TXTSETUP.SIF DOSNET.inf [FloppyFiles.2] d1,Si3112.sys d1,SiWinAcc.sys [Files] {second section, not first} d1,Si3112.sys d1,SiWinAcc.sys d1,SI3112.inf d1,SilSupp.cpl DRVINDEX.inf [driver] Si3112.sys SiWinAcc.sys SilSupp.cpl TXTSETUP.SIF [SourceDisksFiles] Si3112.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4 SiWinAcc.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4 SI3112.inf = 1,,,,,,,20,0,0 [SourceDisksFiles.amd64] Si3112.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4 SiWinAcc.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4 SI3112.inf = 1,,,,,,,20,0,0 [HardwareIdsDatabase] PCI\VEN_1095&DEV_3112&SUBSYS_31121095 = "Si3112" PCI\VEN_1095&DEV_3512&SUBSYS_35121095 = "Si3112" PCI\VEN_1095&DEV_3512&SUBSYS_35121014 = "Si3112" PCI\VEN_1095&DEV_3512&SUBSYS_02B71014 = "Si3112" [SCSI.Load] Si3112 = Si3112.sys,4 [SCSI] Si3112 = "Silicon Image SiI SATALink Controller" on the txtsetup.sif file, you may or may not need the changes made to the "[sourceDisksFiles.amd64]" section. And you may or may not need to put the driver files in your driver path.

Can you give me a link to the vendor supplied drivers? I can take a stab at it tomorrow

I'm using WinPE 1.6 (not Barts), and I have loaded the broadcom drivers before creating the ISO. I created a GUI frontend for my WinPE creation, but the command line to add the broadcom is: drvinst.exe /inf:I:\Build\WinPE2k5\DRV\32bit\4\b57win32.inf I:\Build\winpe_x86 /q This is my actual command line.

Figured I'd bring this thread on over to the x64 forum. List of files and where to get them: WinXP x64 patched uxtheme.dll WinXP x64 tcpip.dll patcher DisabledTrucker's Patched files List of files I'm looking for: Any x64 versions of custom winntbbu.dll files (for those custom looking setup screens) I've seen some discussions on termsrv.dll, but nothing yet on how to get concurrent conections enabled under XP x64, yet.

Anyone know where else I can download this from? The links don't work anymore.

And programs that use the Context Menus (you know, when you right click on something), won't work. Meaning the base program works, but the added functionality of context menus don't.
