  1. msvcr71.dll is a Microsoft C runtime it really has nothing to do with the java other than the JRE was probably linked to it at compile time.
  2. Sorry for the lateness of the reply, but I wanted to point you to a better option than using a blank file for replacing dll's. Dud! http://www3.telus.net/_/dud/ Wayne
  3. that's weird. I've made several iso's with rc8, and all of them installed without a hitch. I wonder why this is happening for you.
  4. I've never been a fan of ffdshow. It's always been second rate when compared to the quality of the actual codec it's replacing. anyway just my 2 cents
  5. I like you, you're silly! </SnifflesFromWBCartoon>

    RoyalMod

too bad you can't find it anywhere
  7. Martijn, I think the "Add that extra izzee to your" part should be a darker color. I almost didn't see it.
  8. Marijn, I think the text style/location on that image needs changed
  9. I didn't install vision express I only use the burning part of nero. I used a custom nero thing I found in the unattened switches forum and modified it so only the parts I wanted were installed and all the exe and dll's were upx'd
  10. why doesn't it have nero? I just make a copy of the installed nero stuff and reg and copy that in. if it complains of a dll missing put it in the nero dir
  11. you started anoher thread about the same stuff?
  12. Amen to that, Clint. To bad some of my favorite resource and hex editors aren't working yet on xp 64. I am gonna be getting an amd x2 based system hopefully half way through this coming school semester( once grants come through) Wayne
  13. thus the need for it on his families computer
  14. I have those together because that's what was said to be used on the site I found the boot.bmp stuff on in 2003. I thought /execute was a server 2003 thing and I run xp. The msdn stuff I found said to use /noexecute=alwaysoff Wayne
  15. for the boot logo you are right about the /bootlogo switch but you have to have a 16bit image using the same palette as the ntkrnl*.exe and I believe it has to be 640x480 also Wayne here is an example of my boot.ini [boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\OS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\OS="Nlite OS" /noexecute=alwaysoff /fastdetect /bootlogo /noguiboot EDIT: The filename has to be boot.bmp and it is put in %windir%

    XPize 4 MCE BETA 1

XPero, I was wondering if you thought about patching the files to support the higher bit depth. I know that on some other forums I've seen people succesfully patch the files to allow for higher bit depth icons. Of course some of this was done on 2k and just updated to 256color but that's better than nothing. Wayne
  18. worked great once I edited the script a bit Thank you. Wayne
  19. the free version is still hosted by a few freeware sites I got mine here ftp://ftp.mirror.ac.uk/sites/www.winsite....ininstallle.exe Wayne
  20. VideoLan will play most media without the need to install codecs. That's the advantage I've found. Wayne
  21. so how is the slimming process going, Aegis? Wayne
  22. You could also do this using a bartpe/winpe disk and only having one partion to install to. Anyone modified this for use on a laptop yet? Wayne
  23. So what's it take to get in on the beta?
