ic. Well I don't use the WebClient svc anyway, I've found it's disabled. otoh, yeh, 3.5 wasn't installed properly, and from what I see if it's an addin then it's installing via svcpack right? which means we can only slipstream up to .net 2.0 so far?

How do you check if the 3.5 was installed correctly? I mean how will it break WebClient service? What is WebClient ?

The zip ones list in the INTEGRATE Hotfixes, Addons and Update Packs, but do not actually work. It doesn't give an error but surely doesn't install.

I recently upgraded from nlite version 1.2-1.4 I found that now my unintended disk will always stop at a page where it asks me to enter the user name and organisation. I think it didn't ask me this before, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know how to automate this page?

I got dotNET35.zip from RogueSpear's Runtime Collection as RyanVM Integrator Addon I put it in nLite and it says RogueSpear's .NET Framework 3.5 ScriptPack Addon. But the resulting XP doesn't have .net installed. Why? How do I use it?

just getting the latest drivers now. Do you know why there is a folder called SP in the Intel chipset drivers folder? should I move them out into the outer folder? also, what is the difference between integrating one driver and the whole driver folder? Because whichever way you do it u will still get the same entries in the end in nLite.

Just got the P5B Deluxe, wanna setup a mirror set. I have a drive with data + identical blank drive. What do I do? the ich8r raid bios invites me to create a volume and lose all my data. I thot there was a way to NOT lose data on the main drive with data Anyway, my PC needs reinstall, how should I setup nLite? Do I RAID then nLite, or is there a way to nLite 1st, then setup a mirror set after windows is up?

Some people have been having problems installing VS6 onto their nlited Windows XP machines. I think Ive found the answer. The old installer fails if you disable the creation of 8.3 filenames in ntfs. And it's not just old installers that do not work properly. It seems that even current software using any WISE installer will install properly but refuse to uninstall if you do not have 8.3 filenames. Therefore I would recommend that 8.3 filenames should not be disabled for anyone at all.

NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation causes all WISE uninstallers and possibly some MSIs to fail it seems. Anyone ever really test if NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation has any performance or other benefits?

My MB needs special Raid SATA drivers. It says I need to copy some files to floppy and press F6 on setup. I have no FDD. Anyway to integrate these into nlite itself?

yes, I can't find any way to boot intoa command line from theinstallation CD. Since Windows is going into the first partition, you can't really tell it to format itself afterwards! At the moment, the only method I can think of is plugging into the an existing machine and preparing the disk

On a new HDD, the nLited XP installer is used to make/format the C: There's no option to control the cluster size there. Anyone have any tips how I can control the formatted cluster size? It defaults NTFS to 4K, I want to make it 8K.
