i am trying to install a msi. the problem is im getting an error. all i have come up with is changing HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer to 0 it was originally 1. i did that but am still getting the system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation. is there anything else i can do. I am currently running Server 2003. Edit: Went through Local Security Policy and couldnt find anything that would restrict msi from installing. Also this is what is in the event viewer

i am using a 7600gt right now. i have not had any problems when running emulators. i think that even at 7900 is a bit over kill as it is the top of the 7 series. if you into watching videos a lot id recommend the 8600gt. the newer pure video helps decode video so the processor doesn't have to do all the work.

also when v3 is released it is supposed to have silent switches. i dont know if the beta's do or not. have not tried the beta releases yet.

The 32-bit versions will not show more then 4 you would be lucky to get 3.5 to show. Im thinking of switching to vista after i upgrade my computer. From what i heard about most of the programs i run they dont have issues. i can run vista on my machine now but games suffer more on vista then they do on xp. It will be nice to have the x64 once more programs that utilize 64 bit. From what i heard a lot of the steam games like half-life 2 and cs:s have x64 executables that are downloaded when you update the game.

tried that and i still get a trial license expired but when entering my info manually it works

yes nlite works find with all service packs.

well figured out how to do it there is no option in windows media player it self but i noticed a green arrow notification area. before the only option i had in wmp was to disable/enable subtitles. with that green arrow i was able to change the audio language and subtitle's. now my only question is there any crop/aspect ratio option when viewing videos in wmp.

ya quick question wont get many looks because there is no info on what it is about. but that aside there is nothing like ryanvm pack as that is an addon that slipstreams the hotfixes. all tho you can get autopatcher and install after windows is installed or use a program like 7-zip to extract the installer and in one of the folders you will find all the hotfixes or at least that is how the xp autopatcher is.

as long as there is no exposed wires or leeway for electrical ark then it should be fine. i think the best bet if you are going to do it your self is to cover the 20 pin plug with electrical tape and tap directly into the wire and seal up with electrical tape.

im guessing you not going to need the 20+4 connector on the second psu. now i dont remember which 2 wires they are but the the 20 pin connector there are 2 wires that can be connected with something metal or create a switch with a wire attached to the to pins and that would allow you to turn off the second psu on or off.

the problem is when i make an account and make in and admin account it just becomes a user account that auto logs in but there is an owner account that is created and im not sure where it is comming from or how to make the account i create a administrator account by defalt

there is a way to add it to you wim images im not exactly sure how it was done but its possible to manually add it

Simple solution. Install firefox and the download helper addon. Simple, free, best of all it works on all kinds of sites it can ususal download videos and mp3 embeded in web sites the orbs will spin around when something is downloadable. I tested the first video that was on the site and downloads perfect. Its about a 77.1 mb download for the video that was on it just make sure you set the extension as a flv and if you want encode into a different video format. Hope that answers your question.

dont know much about there server part. But with google you can write and store word documents and spread sheets Google Documents.

do you have any other os's installed when xp sp2. also i dont see why it would encounter a problem when installing sp 2 but not sp 1. also there is no such thing as sp3 so i dont know were you obtained it but its a fake.

the dual core will win over the quad core in gaming considering most games dont even make use of 1 core. if you go quad core you are ready for when applications that can use 4 threads come out and can make use of all 4 cores.

can rename admin account in home works fine in pro but in home there has to be 1 admin besides the admin account and why would i keep getting an account called owner @Ponch Well Sorry. But What does that even add to the topic (no offense).

ok here they are i still get an owner account never logged in to see if it an admin but then the user account i created is only a user and i need it to be and admin LAST_SESSION.INI

im having trouble tring to get an user created right im working with xp home i have to make a pro cd haven't gotten that far but my problem is i cant leave just the admin and guest account because it says it needs one admin account so i cant do just a net user method and when i create admin account in nlite it says it works then on first boot i have and owner account that i didnt make and the account that i made but when its logged into it not an admin account. what do i need to do to make it a admin account and keep owner from being created

if you want to make ur start menu taller go to taskbar and start menu properties then customize and then under the number of programs on start increase that the bigger the number the taller the start menu

if i had that card i would its worth it stereo suxs after playing games in 5.1 but the weird thing is the version for the x-fi cards is free its worth it but its microsofts fault that direct3d sound and eax dont work

not sure it will work with vista but its called windiz and it allows u to get updates with non-ie browsers another option is to get a program called auto patcher Windiz Update AutoPatcher Vista

i have a bunch of dual audio videos and my problem is that when i watch them in wmp there is only 1 audio stream but with i play them in vlc i can select between the 2 streams and one other thing i was wondering is that anyway to change the aspect ratio of the video like in vlc because if i view full screen on my monitor there are black bars on both sides of my screen which i dont like i have a 16:10 monitor

just use auto patcher u get all of the updates in 1 package
