then look at all the other solutions other people have brought to you then. surely ONE problem that can't be solved can't possibly ruin your computer?

i would seriously recommend office 2007 to anyone. it's so much simpler to use (thanks to the bar at the top of the window) and the menus are configured differently to your ease. - especially microsoft word and outlook.

i still think apple will lower their prices or make a new nano with improved features on it.

actually, you're wrong there. if you run the WGACheck.exe from the microsoft website, it will give you a code that will tell microsoft that you are running a pirate edition. even if it comes with a crack, it still won't work. because of this new wga policy, everybody has to make sure their copy is a genuine copy - so, the guy who made the copy of the CD will have the original and he will be able to download from microsoft, but the pirated version won't be able to.

Well I Hate dell Desktop, But I really do like there laptop/Notebooks though. i don't understand why everyone seems to have a problem with dell desktops. my computer is hardly top of the range, and it runs absolutely fine. their customer service support (online and telephone) is great and are very helpful. you have alot of options of what size your memory is, what size your monitor is ect: and all great prices as well. if you are going to say you hate the desktops, at least state why you do.

first off, i'd try to clean your keyboard. get an airremover and suck out all the dust from between the keys you are having the trouble with. also, can you state what keyboard you have and whether it is new? thanks.

Same price than the iPod within a dollar. really? can you link me to it please? anyways, apple are just going to either lower their prices for their ipods they sell in stores and they will produce new ones that go above the zune. overall, apple will win - not microsoft. I have yet to see a mp3 player that's complicated to use. And if you looked at the Zune, you'll see it's no worse. As for the iPod being convenient, I strongly disagree - iTunes is VERY inconvenient IMO. MS has a "need" to diversify - and create a mp3 player - to generate revenue, on the player sales, and also a cut on the media sales. It's pretty obvious, they're in the market to make profit, like Apple and all the others. yeah, the itunes program itself it's bundled with useless crap i won't use and it's slow program in general. it's best to the program on apple computers anyways, it's so much faster and efficent. as i said, mp3/mp4 programs without having a program to put your songs on is the best. drag + drop for the win. so much more simple to use as well. (I.E: Zen)

i do not personally think the microsoft zune will be more successful with their product than apple and creative have. the zune does look very nice, but microsoft have yet to state a starting price and other various things. from the looks of it, the zune will be very expensive. also, they did say something about this "3 day" permit with the WiFi capabilities between zunes - you can only own it for 3 days and then it becomes defunct; which i think is very stupid. let's get it right: iPods suck and so will the zune. you gotta love the creative zen microphoto. so easy and simple to use - yet with the iPod you have to install iTunes, which i hate due to the fact that it is slow (and you have to go through the process of using it to put your songs on there) drag and drop for the win. (in windows explorer)

i would go for the k-lite package of codecs.

personally, i would let it reboot automatically - it's a critical update so it's important. and for me, the restart countdown is 5 minutes for me, not 15 seconds.
