  1. Hi Ekktob. So I copied installation disk to a new folder on a different partition. When I select the option to copy before modifying, it copies to the C:\ even though I have installed BuClean to my D:\ C:\ only has about 1.5GB free, however, D:\ has about 50GB free. Why does it try to copy to C:\? Is there an option to set it to copy to a different drive? Instead, I restarted the process by not selecting to copy, rather to modify the source folder directly, then I get the error in the second attached image...
  2. User asked if they want to apply changes to the folderD:\BlankDVD --- 09/02/2012 07:28:49 User answered with Yes --- 09/02/2012 07:28:53 Windows 7 Source Path:D:\BlankDVD\ --- 09/02/2012 07:28:53 You have to firstly choose a valid and Read/Write location other than Removable disk or CDROMS Regards, D:\ is a hard disk drive. It's a physical folder on a separate partition. See attached screenshot...
  3. Hi Ekttob. I have attached the BuClean Log and the a screenshot of the Fatal Error. You can match them generally with the dates of my original posts. Thx. TheKramer
  4. Wont be able to do that until Monday, as not around for a few days, but will do as soon as I get back..
  5. Hi Kramer. Here is the link for what you want. Windows Updates Downloader Or you can download all the updates since SP1 from here Windows Hotfix repository These updates are from Solor who keeps this up to date with updates for x86 and x64 versions of windows. This will be your best option, Regards Worf Cool. Thanks for that
  6. After 9 hours, its still on the "Removing Components" phase. It says its "Working on Features", and that 10 minutes have elapsed, but its been 9 hours since I went to bed and got up again this morning...
  7. There seems to be an issue with opting to copy the folder to another location and then modify that, than to modify the source folder, because this time I selected to modify the source folder without copying, and it is working ok, so far.....
  8. Sorry to slightly hijack your post, but is there an application that can be used to download all windows updates, or do you have to search for them manually? Thx
  9. I installed BuClean Studio. Tried all the WAIK versions, but it only worked with WAIK 3.1 (for W7-Sp1). I had to manually find the imagex and oscdiag files (Button on the bottom). So manual search works for me. Next I clicked on the button to find the folder path and I selected my W7 DVD folder and opted to copy before changes ('No' option). It seemed to copy successfully, but now it has been 30 mins and its still displaying status "Working..." in the Windows 7 Path and says "Everything is under control" below that. Finally finished with a fatal error . This folder was copied from my windows 7 installation disk, with no changes made prior to BuClean.
  10. Dammit. Still doesnt work for me I took ownership of the Se7en_UA folder as outlined in post #746, but still get the same error.... Thx.
  11. Hi. I'm having a problem with the step where I integrate the uncompressed SP1 files. All the previous steps completed ok. I have attached the output to this post.. The error says I am on dism for Vista: Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 6.1.7600.16385 But I have WAIK for Windows 7 installed... Thanks for you assistance.
  12. It works for me with WAIK 1.1. For whatever reason, which I dont understand, Gimagex wont work with WAIK 2.0 and WAIK 3.0 on my PC. I am applying the dism batch file as I type..... P.S. Thanks myselfidem for your help and patience
  13. That's what I have been following. To me its not 100% clear whether I should use the same mount folder both times, or a different mount folder for the capture. This is what I just wanted to double check.... From post #105 The part that makes it slightly ambiguous for me is: "Source: empty folder path"
  14. For the Capture phase, do you use the same mount folder from the previous Apply phase, or use a different mount folder?
  15. Hi. I did that also each time, but it wont open the captured wim Does it matter if you have WAIK installed or not for Gimagex? I have WAIK for 7 installed, since I needed that for slipstreaming SP1 via RT7lite. Thx
  16. I updated my vanilla Win 7 with SP1 using RT7lite and then clicking proceed and then finish once it was finished each step. I allowed it time to cleanup and close naturally by itself. Then I followed all the steps from post 105 again. I fired up Gimagex, went to the apply tab Set source to = d:\s1\sources\install.wim Destination = d:s2 Selected my image (2 for Home Premium) and then Applied. Then went to the Capture tab. Set s2 as my mount path (same folder as in apply tab, with mounted folders present) Set my destination to d:\s1\sources\install2.wim Set name and description to: Windows 7 HOMEPREMIUM And then compression to Maximum. Then created the new install2.wim. Once that's finished, I close Gimagex, and when I try to reopen the install2.wim, I get the error that Gimagex cannot mount the image. I want to mount the image to apply the wim-tweak. I redid the whole slipstream process from the beginning but still get this error Any ideas?
  17. Hi. After I create the install2.wim and rename it to install.wim, restart and the try to mount the recently created install.wim, I get an error from Gimagex that says: ERROR: Unable to mount image ERROR: The system cannot find the file specified This a SP1'd image of Windows Home Premium. Thx.
  18. Hi. Just used the RC build 1.1.0. I have two questions tho. In the first screenshot, there is a massive list in the context menu when I right-click on the desktop. Where do I go to trim that down? Also, the "web" folder in the Windows directory has been removed. I elected to remove the current wallpapers, but cant find the wallpapers I integrated. Thx. P.S. Are there any sites that host application packages ready for integration like there were for nLite?
  19. Nope. Not at all. They are the different wallpapers, and settings for transparency, etc.
  20. Dude, the answer is only 2 posts back!!! Post #160: "dism package removal, doesn't reduce the WIM size. the old files are being deleted by trusted installer.exe later when PC is idle after the installation."
  21. Hi protonplayer. I use the ini file from this guide: Windows 7 removal There are a few things I deselect for removal which I want to keep, like windows search, disk cleanup, etc. I just make sure not to select anything extra for removal that the guy has not selected in his ini. Hope that helps.
  22. Saw this in the "Windows 7 RTM (32 & 64 Bit) *UPDATED*" topic, for anyone that might encounter the issue. ......you will need to register the "ieproxy.dll" file when removing Internet Explorer. This needs to be done immediately after installing, when the computer boots to the desktop for the first time. The file "ieproxy.dll" is located in the Windows System32 folder. This can be done using Run or Command Prompt. Type the following: regsvr32 "C:\Windows\System32", then press ENTER. Then, a dialog box will appear saying that the file was registered successfully; then click and OK reboot your system. The reason this needs to be done is to prevent Windows Explorer or Computer, from opening multiple windows when you are browsing through the directories. It will also ensure that the feature; Safely Remove Hardware & Eject Media will continue to work, while also remaining enabled in the system tray. Wish I'd seen that 3 weeks ago
  23. Hi, I get the following error when I try to remove packages. It complains about Tweak.exe, but I dont see anywhere in the youtube vid or in the pdf where to put the wim_tweak file (which I presume it is looking for?). I tried manually copying it to the root C: but that didnt help Thx.
