  1. Hi all. Anyone know what is with the new Rockers team website? I can't access the RT7-Booster thread anymore over there. @Winterstorm2050: can you shed some light on this? Thx.
  2. You dont need WAIK for vLite. Just click yes on "install the WIM filter" box when it pops up. That should do it. Otherwise, download vLite 1.1.6 and update that with 1.2. Good luck
  3. Ok, since there is only one image on the disk it doesnt matter about the image number. With a standard disk, you have all the images on one disk, but you can only access the image that you bought the license key for, so you have 4 versions in the install.wim, and they are defined by their number. e.g. I bought Windows Home Premium, so that is given the number 2 in the image, so if I want to modify that, I need to specify 2 as the number of the image...
  4. There should not be any problem with the protect list, and the only difference should be in the image number. i.e. Premium is image 2, Pro should be image 3, Ultimate image 4, etc. You can use gImagex to find what image number the Enterprise version is. If you want to use vlite on a Windows 7 with SP1, you need to read this. Good luck
  5. Bump! I am willing to do this with Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64 bit. Will it still work or not? You just need to make sure you make your install.wim workable with vLite first as outlined in this thread, before using this method...
  6. If you have issues with RT7lite, you can use the presets in this thread. Thats what enabled me to finally get a working RT7lite install. I could never the vLite to play nice with RT7lited iso though. Dunno how it worked for the other guys, as I followed their steps exactly and vLite always craps out on me For anyone trying this method, I just figured out why vLite kept crapping out on me. The issue was with updates/driver integration in RT7lite. Once you dont try to integrate anything in RT7lite, its all good I used the RT7lite preset from here: http://www.rtwincust...onents-to-keep/ I will try slipstreaming updates with DISM to see if thats ok.

  8. Hi all. RT7Lite seems to be deleting the link to "User Account Control" in the start menu. The workaround to access the UAC, is to go into the User Account of the system user and one can access it there, but not through the start menu. I have not selected either UAC or Advanced UAC for removal, but the link is getting deleted. Anyone know how to get around this? Not critical, but useful to get it fixed. Thx
  9. You can use Windows Updates Downloader. The most up to date lists are here. Install WUD first, then "right-click" to install the list, then open the program.
  10. You can add windows updates. To add programs you need to create silent install switches for them and then add the programs in the "Integration" section.
  11. The answer to your question is Yes. RT7Lite needs WAIK 2 or WAIK 3, and you can only install these on Windows 7. You could try doing it from within a VM such as virtualbox, but i have no idea if that works...
  12. Hey nileshtambe, I have been trying this for weeks unsuccessfully. When I go to vLite it, vLite crashes on me. How do you update your original iso to Windows 7 SP1. vLite works on my original non SP1 disk, but it wont work on the MSDN SP1 ISO. I also tried to slipstream SP1 manually, but vLite is ok with that before RT7lite, but not after. Yes, I do the Apply, then Capture and create a new install.wim and delete the old one. I am now trying with an ISO which I have integrated SP1 with RT7Lite to see if that makes any difference.... My image has updates slipstreamed with RT7lite. Could that be causing an issue with vLite? Thx.
  13. 1. Did you use the wim tweak before using DISM?2. Did you run DISM in a command prompt with Admin rights?
  14. Hi monohouse. After you create the sysprepped install.wim, do you just add that back into your SP1 DVD, replacing the original, and use vLite then?
  15. Cheers and Regards I have a quick question: 2. Would it be possible to do it in the reverse, i.e. install windows and configure it how I like on the actual system and then Sysprep from Virtualbox? There are some apps with settings to access different hard-drives (XMBC) that I could only setup on the host system (I have separate hard-drives for music/movies/games/etc.). Thx.
  16. I think I missed that actually Question: In the version that I manually integrated SP1, I did not have to use ImageX for vLite to play nice with it. Did you use ImageX to stop vLite quitting unexpectedly, or is there an issue later, i.e. in installing if I dont do that??
  17. I found the problem myself. Vlite really does not like the MSDN SP1 ISO's.I tried this on my original Windows 7 disc that I manually slipstreamed and vLite work fine. I havent tried this with an SP1 ISO integrated via RT7Lite. Just thought this might be of help to someone else...
  18. My problem is that I get the same issue as Madhits45. When I click on Apply, it says preparing and the green progress bar goes about 75% of the way across, and then vLite just disappears... Thats it. No error or anything.. I "Applied" and "Captured" the install.wim before trying to vlite the cache. Thx
  19. Make sure you dont select to "keep" Windows Update in the popup window, as WinSXS is to do with Windows Update. Then select Component Removal and its in the system area..
  20. So I just went ahead and added a few apps to the Application integration tab in RT7lite. When it starts to boot into Windows, I get an application window called "RT Seven Lite Post Installation Wizard". All the apps I selected have to be processed manually. I added the /s switch when I selected each app to add to RT7lite, but this "RT Seven Lite Post Installation Wizard" requires manual intervention. Anyone know how to make it process everything automatically? Thx.
  21. Few questions about RT7lite: 1. To integrate apps, can I just use the executable files that I have downloaded from the web, e.g. VLC, or do they have to be packaged in a certain way? 2. Is there a setting to change the "Border Padding" for explorer windowx? 3. Is there a setting to change the default size of the caption buttons? 4. What does the "Advanced" option do in "Task" window? 5. What does "Optimize Boot.wim and Install.wim" do, and is it safe to select that option? Thx
  22. Will give it try, see what happens. That script error now interrupts the RT7-Lite execution as well, so its doubly annoying...
  23. Hi there. Anyone know how to disable the "Sponsors" window from appearing? It keeps popping up, even when I close it. I keep getting a popup when that "sponsors" window appears about scripts not running and asking whether I want to keep scripts running. So annoying!! What do I do to get rid of it?? Thx
  24. Has anyone been able to slipstream SP1 successfully? I get as far as the last stage "Committing changes to image" and after about 10 to 15 minutes the program terminates with the error I posted earlier. Installed the latest BuClean version from 12.02 and using WAIK 3 for Windows 7-SP1. Have tried a few times to slipstream now with no success, and have tried different folders with the installation files freshly copied over from the installation DVD (which I bought). There is no log as the program terminates.
  25. Read the first post of this thread. there is a link there...
