  1. Okay, after weeks of searching through sketchy websites and the Internet Archive, I finally managed to get both fingerprint software and Bluetooth working! I noticed on the data sheet for this model that it said the following: Superior access protection via integrated fingerprintsensor, SmartCard reader and SmartCase™Logon+software So the search began for SmartCase Logon+. Only handful of websites mentioned it, so I decided to give Internet Archive a try. Looking through a just a handful of uploaded old recovery images, I found two that included SmartCase software. Here's the one that worked After installing it, I was finally able to successfully enroll a fingerprint, and enable OS Logon for it. As for Bluetooth software, it seems Toshiba's BT stack was included software. For this, I also used the Internet Archive. It installed without issues and works well. I will leave this post for anyone looking for this obscure (and unfortunately less available) software.

  2. Today, started to happen with me, too. In any browser on Win 8.1, playing any video I get no restrictions at all, so it's not related to my IP. As soon as I try to use any 3rd party downloaders, I get this message. Any ideas? Someone please suggest a simple crx extension, thanks,

  3. What is Chrome_proxy.exe file that comes inside?

  4. Ok. I do not use any sync features. As far as I know, Google has restricted its sync feature and excluded Chromium Browser. This means that synchronisation should actually no longer be possible in the Chromium browsers Supermium and Thorium, either. Is it really possible there in these days? In any case, there is not a single feature that would make me use a browser like Google Chrome that fills me up with adverts from start to finish.

  5. Although off-topic, you are right regarding Chrome on Android. But the original Chrome browser is totally crappy. You are bombarded with advertising rubbish. I never use this browser under Android. You should rather use the Chrome based variant Kiwi which supports extensions. I have installed uBlock Origin there, and it works fine. Bye, bye ads!

  6. Right! I have already corrected my post. I meant not using this flag, of course. Too early for me, too.

  7. @feodor2 Just a short feedback. Your most recent release Mypal 68.14.2b is really great. A lot of improvements and better web compatibility. Even Codeberg does not show an error anymore as far as I can see. Many thanks for your efforts! Great release!

  8. I did not get this captcha when I called it up in Mypal 68.14.2b from Germany. And TBH, this website is totally bloated and cumbersome. Good stuff for my Android tablet if at all.

  9. In my case, the main reason for not using this flag is to have especially my few passwords encrypted inside Thorium. One can have whatever opinion one likes about this flag, but enabling encryption does offer a little more security for your own data. I would only switch it off by using this flag if I had to move with my profile.

  10. Yeah , but how come this is not a problem for that Chinese player ? It plays HD tracks flawlesly , DTS HD MA , TrueHD and the such . I might even say the sound quality is far more superior than with most of the popular ones (commercial and "open" source) . All I want to say , I can live with this "glitchy" player as it (obviously) doesn't need anything to be replaced . I can tell how I trick it . 1 - Open the player (don't close) at this point it can play compressed DTS and AC3 only , 2 - Go to >playback devices< and choose >test supported formats< , play Dolby Digital test file , when Windows asks "did you hear the sound from your receiver?" answer yes and press ok . That's it - you can play ALL HD formats now , but only with this specific player . Somehow it hooks to it , while it is opened . So Vista is fully capable of playing HD formats without replaciing anything . I blame the Nvidia driver and/or some settings created by it. Which are easely bypassed by the Chinese player.

  11. I suspect that it is for creating registry entries with "HD" capable device strings under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\Audio\Render\{my receiver auto generated id}\Properties] This one is interesting too , notice different "oem" for win7 and Vista. oem9.inf:NVIDIA.NTamd64.6.0:NVHDA64V:1.3.34.3:hdaudio\func_01&ven_10de&dev_0044 oem3.inf:NVIDIA.NTamd64.6.1:NVHDA64V:1.3.34.3:hdaudio\\func_01&ven_10de&dev_0044 If drivers gets 6.1 or anything higher , it will create those missing and/or different entries I was talking about earlier . They are auto generated and couldn't be added manually to stay forever , they will get erased and replaced with the non-HD strings. Nvidia forbids HD audio on Vista , even if you have HD capable device. By the way , this "issue" could be a lawsuit since Nvidia claims GTX780 full support on Vista , including HD audio. How to put it polite - customer misleading. In the meantime, I use that Chinese player with that pleasant "glitch", now I know how to replicate the glitch . It's not the best solution , I hope to get a fully working driver.
