Server crashed badly. They couldn't retrieve data from second (backup) HDD'a. We lost data for last 3 months. Luckily i had local backup from Februar. I apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Some time ago I suddenly couldn't login anymore. Now after the server crash I can again. Strange! roytam1, thanks for the SSE builds! I'm still using an AMD Athlon XP cpu as well. Watching videos in-browser is next to impossible. I'm using 3DYD - Youtube Source instead. It's a DirectShow sourcefilter that you can use with Media Player Classic - HC/BE to open youtube-urls. 3DYD have even forked LAV Filters to be WinXP compatible and in addition added support for TLS 1.2.

Well due to MSFN's servers losing data, the information you see on the list currently is obviously out of date. Thankfully, someone has archived the list over at Wayback Machine on May 17, so I'll have to apply all the changes I've made since then all over again which could take a long time.

since forum is rolled back to February, this thread is lost. And I tried to repost it from my memory. It's not just that. 10+ years ago, Videos were not always encoded in compute-heavy H.264 either. And websites generally used less CPU resources. Plus, modern video de- and encoding relies on SSE and SSE2 a lot for a speed boost (H.264/AVC as well as other modern codecs), additionally to multithreading. Edit: roytam1 was faster.

Well, I think it is better to buy a new computer... An Athlon XP can't run newer browsers anymore...
