glocK_94 Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 This looks really nice ! I hope I had a nice Nvidia PCI-e card to test... This is based on recently released 82.69 right? So does it support widescreen resolutions too (1400x900 for example) ?Thanks a lot !!!
Philco Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Why used old help files and old language resources dll?
YKWIA Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Yeah, It's nice that you added AGP support but where's the support for the NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS card.
ZakMcKracken84 Posted May 15, 2007 Author Posted May 15, 2007 Why used old help files and old language resources dll? Using? Oh ... there were so many files and folders ... and than .. a mistake Yeah, It's nice that you added AGP support but where's the support for the NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS card.Doesn´t dedect Geforce 7800GS?What kind of card is it? glocK_94 Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 mmh i think yes, the resolutions points are set in the inf filesIn the .inf really? I'll look closer.... think you meen resolution like 1280x720 or higher. They will work!Yeah, that's what I meant : 1280x720, 1440x900 and so on...So they'll work? Great !!!Thanks

glocK_94 Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 ... think you meen resolution like 1280x720 or higher. They will work!Actually, I just checked the .inf file and wide screen resolutions don't seem to be supported (at least not the one I'm interested in) ! For exemple, to support 1440x900 (native resolution for 19 inches widescreens), the following lines are missing:HKR,"MODES\8\1440,900",,,"60,70,72,75,85,100,120,140,144,150"HKR,"MODES\8\1440,900",ModeRefreshRateList,,"60,70,72,75,85,100,120,140,144,150"HKR,"MODES\16\1440,900"HKR,"MODES\16\1600,900"HKR,"MODES\32\1440,900",,,"60,70,72,75,85,100,120"HKR,"MODES\32\1440,900",ModeRefreshRateList,,"60,70,72,75,85,100,120"This is probably the same for higher 16/10 resolutions. Can you please take care of that ?Thanks.
Xavi11 Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Yeah, It's nice that you added AGP support but where's the support for the NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS card.Doesn´t dedect Geforce 7800GS?What kind of card is it? PCI-E or AGP?It's an AGP card.I think the most interesant goal will be the agp Gf7x support. Because the Gf6x are yet supported on the nvidia drivers (I have one) and the PCi-e...there's no pci-e motherboards with support for w98.
MDGx Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Try also this one...Tweaked Unofficial NVIDIA Display Driver 82.69 for Windows 98/98 SE/ME [14.5 MB]:http://www.mdgx.com/files/NV8269.EXEDocumentation:http://www.mdgx.com/files/NV8269.TXTModded NVAGP.INF = added support for *all* :- GeForce, GeForce Go + Quadro 5xxx, 6xxx, 7xxx + 8xxx series.- GeForce + Quadro PCI, AGP + PCI-x series.- GeForce 7950 SLI PCI-x series.- Vertical refresh frequencies + all normal and widescreen resolutions for video driver + CRT/LCD monitors.- Languages DLL + HLP files from NVIDIA Display Driver 93.71.- Registry tweaks to allow access to hidden/undocumented options.FYI:PCI-x may or may not work, depending on motherboard, chipset, GPU.HTHP.S.:ZakMcKracken84:Some of the registry tweaks in your INF are broken, for example some dword values were written into the registry as plain string [REG_SZ] values, and others had wrong dword values.I've corrected them all, and added a few more. Please look at the NVAGP.INF file inside NV8269.EXE [built with Iexpress].To extract all files without installing anything, just run [using C:\TEMP in this example]:NV8269 /C /Q /T:C:\TEMPHave fun.

T.N.G.O.G. Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Can someone tell me , how did the OP mod these drivers to work with WIN9X?So i can do it with the 175.19 ones.
EGOvoruhk Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 You can't do it. 82.69 already supported Windows 98, he just modified it to expand the card support. 175.19 doesn't support Windows 98
d.robin Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Running late. Looking support of series 9 Has it been updated somewhere in the wild? Or do I have to edit?
