I use a combination of the Run box (mostly for CMD), Quick Launch, Start Page (the left side of the Start Menu) and Desktop shortcuts. My most commonly used stuff goes on Quick Launch. The Desktop gets used for the current project (and then the files are moved off). The Start Page gets used for stuff I use frequently, but not frequently enough to warrant a Quick Launch shortcut.

Honestly, I don't see a reason to use the example because you can just type the URL in the Run box and it'll open with your default web browser. If the URL starts with "www" you don't even have to include the "http://". Oh, and the Run history will include URLs that you've typed in your browser's Address Bar (at least with IE, not sure about FireFox).

thats defietly alot more work than needed.

you say you have trouble finding them? i have my shortcuts organized, like my games are in the top right corner, website crap in the top mid, etc.

ive got so much crap and this is an easy way to keep track of it.

u could add more stuff like bat file

like kill.bat

and run > kill program.exe

Ctrl+Shift+Esc (opens Task Manager) > Right Click program.exe > End Process Tree
