create a SFX file place under Under commend for example:

(if you want to add you favorites shortcuts to menu start)

Path=%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\%username%\Menu Start\Programs

Silent=2

Overwrite=1

Works with variables;

%ProgramFiles%

%SystemRoot%

%SystemDrive%

%Temp%

%username%

not sure you need this advice with the number of posts you have but;

when making the rar choose "create solid archive" and "best compression method" to reduce size.

Also rar as many files/folders into one as possible ie rar whole apps directory and extract as one.

also check through yours apps to dump uneccessary bits; nav2003 and adobe6 etc can be extensively streamlined.

And I assume you have already dumped as much from Winxp as possible?

im sure you can rar twice for more compression.. you need to add all files and dirs into an uncompressed rar then add that into another rar using full compression.. worth a try, proly only talking a few kb though :)

%userprofile% would be better, I use an SFX archive to unzip to %userprofile% and i have subdirectories inside there, favourites etc
