LLXX Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 I suggest you stop using those ports, for they are overvolting your drive.
FabulousFred Posted January 8, 2007 Author Posted January 8, 2007 Is this odd? As in give gateway a call?

FabulousFred Posted January 17, 2007 Author Posted January 17, 2007 New LCD with the same problem. Its not the thumbdrive.Could the USB cable from the hub to the PC be the problem?
puntoMX Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 The cable is just a standard cable, I don´t see why it could be the cable. It should give 5Volts on pin 1, -D (data), +D (data) and the last pin 0Volts. You could check it with a voltage-meter on the pin-contacts.
Zxian Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Are you sure this doesn't happen with any other thumb drives? I know my OCZ Rally gets warm when it's plugged in, but it does this on all computers. It shouldn't be burning hot, but warm is fine.
