nitroshift Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Please come back with more info on your system. In the meantime you can try updating your graphics card drivers.
moataz Posted January 3, 2007 Author Posted January 3, 2007 (edited) no no no ...it is a common problem in EVERY WINDOWS XP VERSION (Build 0 - sp1 -sp2).while the same copy of the game runs OK on ME or 98if you have the game please run it & tell me what you get.... Edited January 3, 2007 by moataz
nitroshift Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 (edited) Please read CAREFULLY my above post. Have you installed the latest driver for your graphics card? What is your graphics card? Unless you provide enough info, we can't help you. Please read the rules. And FYI, on the rig with specs in my signature on XP sp2 Medal of Honor runs GREAT!!! The add-ons too! jim-p Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 (edited) This message means that the game is unable to fild your graphic card's driver for openGL.XP does have nvidia or ati drivers for openGL by default.Only drivers for microsoft's Direct 3d exist in a clen XP install. You have to visit your manifacturer's site for the drivers, download and install them.I bet you would get the same message if you tried to play other openGL ONLY games such as doom, quake, sof. In windows 98 and ME, which have no drivers for d3d and opengl, after every install of the OS you have to installyour graphic card's driver, otherwise even the desktop looks awful. That's why the first thing you do is to install drivers which "enable" both D3d and openGL, and so the game plays as it's supposed to!If it was not a driver problem, I would suggest using compatibility mode.Have a nice day. Tarun Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Game has always worked fine here for me on ME and XP.
Sonic Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Microsoft drivers included for your gpu doesn't support OpenGL. You can check that in device manager if gpu has name with ending by (Microsoft Corporation)you can't play OpenGL game .. (as Quake 3 for example)Install gpu drivers from contructor's website (for example www.nvidia.com or www.ati.com)and your problem will gone ...
moataz Posted January 4, 2007 Author Posted January 4, 2007 To Sonic:Do you mean any "display adapter driver name" ended with (Microsoft Corporation) , doesn't play an OpenGL based Game like "Quake 3, SOF or Medal Of Honor" ?What does "gpu" mean ?
Tarun Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Example of what Sonic meant:nVidia GeForce 4 Ti 4600 (Microsoft Corporation)GPU means Graphics Processing Unit.
Sonic Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 To Sonic:Do you mean any "display adapter driver name" ended with (Microsoft Corporation) , doesn't play an OpenGL based Game like "Quake 3, SOF or Medal Of Honor" ?Yes, you need to use driver on cd or better latest drivers on web.
Inferi0r Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 (edited) I'm for a few years in a MOHAA clan and can say you many players has your problem. There are different solutions for:Sometimes you must update your driver..Sometimes you must use this patch:Link removedAnd for some people is the reason:They use a resolution that's not supported by MOHAA Edited September 18, 2009 by Inferi0r
