Since I'm still using CRT monitor, it's time to upgrade to LCD :)

I've got two monitors that are my favorites and probably will decide for NEC, but also would like your thoughts, comments and suggestions..

Thx..

Whichever one you get, make sure you get it from a company that can offer a no dead pixel return policy.

do any companies even offer that?

Sure, even my local computer store here, MicroBytes offers that. Albeit for a $25 fee, but what's $25 to return a dead pixel monitor compared to it's full price? In fact, even some manufacturers offer no-dead pixel policies. I *think* NEC does.

I saw that in the USA and Canada it’s normal to pay for warranty in stores. S*x As* to me, you would wish you lived in Europe then ;).

Any way, take a look at Viewsonic as well, has been one of the best together with Samsung the last year or so. I use BENQ screens and they are good too. I don’t know what NEC is making but it looks like an ACER to me, and those are known for less quality.

No Samsung?

Ok, which Samsung would you recommend?

Also, you can find some useful info HERE if you're planing to buy a new LCD monitor...
