ripken204 Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Seems like the data is on a bad secotr or cluster.sounds exactly like that
Suren Posted August 1, 2006 Author Posted August 1, 2006 i used chkdsk to check for errors it said the HDD ok.even HDD life software telling HDD ok.but now another file stoped working.(i get the same error this file also)but my HDD was working in overtemp(50 c) for a week. & i finally found the Overtemp problem and fixed it now it's at (30 C)temp.this problem started within last week
ripken204 Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 its the temp man! im glad to hear you got a fan on there or something but those high temps must have messed something up. if they file cant copt then it cant copy, its corrupted. sorry to tell you this. if you reformat the drive it wil skip over the bad sectors and you should be fine again.
Suren Posted August 1, 2006 Author Posted August 1, 2006 some times (connected with another HDD(master-slave) the 160 HDD stop working. it makes some sound & then HDD Stops Working.after that I need to reboot
Shindo_Hikaru Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Ho do you have your hard drive spacing*** - Hard Drive 1*** - Hard Drive 2This is some times common but nor recommended.*** - Hard Drive 1*** - Hard Drive 2This is usually the best configuration for optimal cooling
LLXX Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Backup your data NOW. A failure will occur very soon.
