No probs, I know the wife has you cooking, ironing and hoovering, * sound of whip crack*, just good to know it works on other machines besides mine.

Just out of curiosity did you notice blank entries in the default run after installing an unmodded installer?

to make all together, as for build 303:

just use the mst file to install silently, make sure you import the avp.exe key to the registry prior to install so it cant reboot first time. and its all set and ready to go, isnt it?

after the build 303 came out i let the installer alone in my desktop and i install it manually to avoid all the hassle. now i will try his again. thanks.

kav6.0.0.303en.mst

Remove
InstallExecuteSequence=>RunApp=>Not Installed AND UILevel < 5
Add
Registry=>DO NOT RESTART=>SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\AVP6\Data=>LastStart=>0

So no restart anymore.

Run with

kav6.0.0.303en.msi TRANSFORMS=kav6.0.0.303en.mst /QUIET /NORESTART

For auto register KAV create setup folder with contents:

kav6.0.0.303en.msi

kav6.0.0.303en.mst

license.key

Setup reads key file automatically

WARNING:

Still reboots after first update AV components. No solution for this now.

Should update kav6.0.0.303en.msi source for this.

kav6.0.0.303en.mst

Hi all, :hello::hello:

This works for me

NoBoot.reg

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\AVP6\Data]

"LastStart"=dword:00000000

--------------------------------------------------------------------

And after, I use this comand line

start /wait kav6.0.0.303es.msi /li /quiet /qn /norestart INSTALLDIR="%ProgramFiles%\Internet\Virus\Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0\" /qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress

It installs and starts, but no reboot the PC.

Hope this helps.

Hi

Just found the mst-file doesn't work anymore on new kaspersky kis6.0.1.411de.

And with "LastStart"-regtweak it doesn't work either, you're gettin ask to reboot.

They refined the setup a bit and now it's a different line to be removed in the msi,

it's not RunApp anymore, seems you can leave this alone.

Instead removing the new entry "RunPIWAndWait" in "InstallExecuteSequence" does the trick (Seq 6604)

to summarize the steps I'm happy with:

with cmdlines (via wihu) I use

NIRCMD.EXE exec hide CMD.EXE /c %WIHU%\KIS6.cmd

KIS6.cmd

::Kaspersky silent setup
%~dp0kis6.0.1.411de.msi TRANSFORMS=%~dp0kis6.mst /QN

::Remove Kaspersky string from Welcome screen
REG ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\AVP6\settings /v EnableLoginShow /t REG_DWORD /d 0x0 /f

::Inform the user about automatic reboot
REG ADD HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce /V "zzzreboot0" /T REG_SZ /D "nircmd infobox \"Der Rechner wird gleich automatisch neu gestartet, um die Installationen abzuschliessen!\" \"Neustart\"" /f

::Reboot by avp.exe
REG ADD HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce /V "zzzreboot1" /T REG_SZ /D "%ProgramFiles%\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0\avp.exe" /f

The only problems still remaining is the missing update and settings integration.

Get the attachment for the mst-file made for kis6.0.1.411de (removing just that one entry mentioned above)

I guess language and flavour (KIS or KAV) still doesn't matter for this.

I still wonder why people don't simply install @ T13, it saves overall time and Kav will not restart the pc.. no need for tricks, simply /QB or QN.
ente is right about "RunPIWAndWait" action in .mst.

Anyone has found a solution to silent install new av defs ?

@zilexa: have you tried it with the latest version of kav and/or kis (6.0.1.411)?

@sonic: if i make an mst file just with this row removed will it work? or i have to remove something else?

elajua: For me I have deleted the old RunApp and the new RunPIAndWAI row in .mst to avoid any problems .. no problems now during the last week.

The regtweak is necessary if you don't want avp.exe doesn't reboot the system the first time too.

thanks, will make my mst later.

i prefer to reboot after it finishes updating itself the firts time so im skipping the regtweak.

thanks.

ente is right about "RunPIWAndWait" action in .mst.

Anyone has found a solution to silent install new av defs ?

Here is what I have done.

Custom Action :-

Delete RunApp

Delete RunPIWAndWait

Property Manager :-

Add SAVEDAVBASESINSTALLED set value to 1

Add USESAVEDAVBASES set value to 1

Add USESAVEDSETTINGS set value to 1

Create mst.

Using an Inno script, prior to compiling the exe, I copy the Base, Dskm and Data (Kav6.cfg only) folders to {commonappdata}\Kaspersky Lab\AVP6\Temp, these folders will have the latest updates updated through KAV.

The folders will be extracted prior to installing to

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP6\Temp

and KAV will see them and copy them to

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP6

instead of the bases included with the installer, databases are up to date and no update on first run. There is still a problem with the settings as because the default level in avp.exe is Basic not all of the settings will get installed, but they do after I load them via KAV, still trying to find out if a reg key could sort the protection level.
