XPize for Windows 2000

hi all

i have heard about XPize for Windows 2000 several times in this forum, but i can't find it. is it the current 4.3 MCE version or other thing? if anyone known about it especially the creator (XPero) please share me some link for download

I think you have to slipstream it with HFSLIP.

/me would love a special(ized) win2k version,

for example

as i realy dont think it will be a problem, to get the icons and resources together (probebly some people whou'd love to help),

could this be a concidered option???

While a "XPize" for Windows 2000 would be very nice Xpero has stated in the past he is not really interested in doing one...

if i could get permission from XPero to use his shell32.dll icon and etc things i could make some GUI patch for win2k, just take a look this post :

i think i will share it to everybody here :

for the present my pack consist of :

- shell32.dll (xp icon),

- ntoskrnl.exe (xp like boot logo),

- msgina.dll (new logo for login box, xp like),

- sysdm.cpl (monitor image in system properties)

- explorer.exe (taskbar menu and some string in windows explorer)

- browseui.dll (xp toolbar icon, missing some and dither in big icon)

- display.cpl (monitor for wallpaper, screensaver, setting dialog)

i have repack (but i lost the installer version) of my w2k gui hack, this is very experimental so don't expect to much for this release, hope you have interest on it and fix it

known bug :

- explorer taskbar lock feature doesn't function(explorer.exe)

- sometime you can't right click on taskbar(explorer.exe)

- missing back,forward,search and etc icon in explorer/ie toolbar (browseui.dll) i think it placed somewhere else

- the big icon toolbar are dithered with pink line (browseui.dll)

- bootlogo seem doesn't right to display, need to resave and recompress to rle (ntoskrnl.exe)

- monitor in display properties seem wrong (desk.cpl)

- missing msgina.dll file , but i have included the new ntlogo

- other...

PS :

- have add a new nt logo and bootlogo

- test it with vmware or virtual pc before test to your main installation

I'm polishing a basic version of the "XPize Installer System". I will probably will be giving a private copy to those who have something interesting to offer, but dont have the "tools". If this project proves to be interesting for users, I will provide you a copy of my installer system. For now, you have my permission on the shell32.dll icons.
