burning bin

I have a bin file that is 783 mb. When I view it in ultra iso or magis iso it shows up as 1.4 mb.

It doesnt have a cue with it and I want to burn it to a cd/dvd. Can someone tell me how?

I tried nero and alcohol 120% and all it transfers to cd is 1.4 mb

A .BIN file needs to have a .CUE. The .CUE is a plaintext file describing the structure and the location of the BIN-file. Actually, when you want to burn to a CD and/or DVD, with its used is actually the .CUE file, not the .BIN. (At some cases)

I know this ain't very helpufull, but try getting the .CUE file.

P.S: Making a .CUE is not that hard. A typical PC .CUE file looks like this:

FILE "image-name.BIN" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00

Just try and past it into Notepad. Change the "image-nanme" to the name of the .BIN file, save the file as TITLE.CUE and VOILÁ! TITLE = Same name as .BIN

If the .BIN file you want to burn is not for PC, let me know.

I changed the name to zeta v1.bin and made cue. In nero it says error on line 1. It saves as txt file is this ok?

No. The extension of the file MUST be .CUE. Select All Files when saving and then type the exact name of the .BIN file, but with the .CUE extension.

Try opening the BIN file with ISOBuster. ISOBuster doesn't need the CUE file just to open the BIN file. ISOBuster will let you extract the files to an empty folder on your hard drive.

I think his BIN has more than one track, and only the first track is getting burned in the absence of the CUE.

Ahh...it's a bootable CD. There are several ways to do this but the easiest is just to make the .CUE file as Gouki suggested.

Why don't you just use UltraISO (the best image program IMHO) and convert it to an ISO file than just burn it in Nero as an image?

Make a iso out of it all that goes is boot catalog and boot ima, Used blind write all that boes is boot catalog and boot ima. When I made iso the file properties are 682 mb but when I open it with ultra iso it is just 1.7 mb

Yes properties are 780 mb but 2 small files are shown when open. Its almost like the main content is hidden.

The iso I am trying to burn is BEOS I tried a cross platform cd burner CDEVERYWHERE

I got this message

java.io.stream corrupted exception: input stream does not contain a serialized object

Could this be why I cant burn the iso?

How do I fix it?
