Hi, just bought and fitted this sound card (see topic description) and whenever I try to install the drivers, my USB mouse freezes and the Add Hardware Wizard freezes. The computer still works, though...

Sounds like an IRQ problem, try the soundcard in an other PCI sloth

How do you change the ICQ of a driver?

In device manager you can change virtually the IRQs that are assigned virtually by XP to the devices.

But, it’s better if you change the interrupt by throwing the card in another PCI slot that is not connected to your USB interrupt. (Why change it with software (virtually) when you can fix it at hardware level )

IRQ, wow, what was i thinking.

puntomx is right tho, change the slot if u can, i am stuck to changing it in windows b/c i dont have space to fit anything in another pci slot, the nvsilencer on my 7800gt is pretty huge.
