Custom Shell32.dll

Along time ago, I used to change my own shell32.dll. Now I haven't done it for awhile and don't feel like it. I remember there being custom ones already done, where I'd just have to replace my shell32. I can't seem to find this anymore....any ideas...

I got a xp sp2 with all the new vista icons. i'll put it up on rapid share for you. it's compressed and all set to be put onto an unattended cd.

this took a lot of time to do I replaced every icon one by one with reshacker so... your welcome.

oh man how do you compress it?compressing to .zip file and rename the name of file?or make it into .cab extension?

install vista transformation pack3 and copy the shell32.dll from windows\system32 dir, makecab it and replace it in ur uA distribution's i386 dir. this worked for me. u can also copy explorer.exe in the same way. u will be having vista style icons and message boxes in explorer as well.

Dels, compress it using command line and "makecab" command.

For example, if the file is in C:\shell32.dll

<C:\>makecab shell32.dll

If it says something like "Flushing Folder" then it's ok and your compressed version should appear in C:\

nah shell32 has atleast for me been the file u can i.e change the folder icons in and all that
