Win2k3 auto login

Featured Replies

how can i use Win2k3 auto login without using tweak .net ??? w00t

yeh check the tut, im not sure, but i dont think 2k3 has an option to auto login as a security feature as win2k3 is a server

TweakUI 1.33

Works fine. Under the network tab choose auto-login

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Create the string DefaultPassword with the value set as your password

Make sure string DefaultUserName exists and that the value is set to your username

 sunny is correct...TweakUI 1.33

Works fine. Under the network tab choose auto-login

:)

Don't know if this is the reason for grunge's aversion to TweakUI, but I prefer using a 'pure' approach (I.e., reghack or existing app) whenever possible when making changes to my system as opposed to a third party or additional app. That being said, Autologin is in both the win2k3 tut and about 3 posts up!
