Aaron
Quakenet is a different network. Here's a server list for PurpleWire if you want to add them to your existing IRC Client (it's already in the MSFN client)faygue.purplewire.orgie.purplewire.orgighey.purplewire.orgphoenix.purplewire.orgrollingrock.purplewire.orgshockwave.purplewire.org
nekkid
Sorry guys, but I don't think 'irc.purplewire.org' works just right. We recently went through a name change, so you may want to try connected to individual servers. Also, faygue.purplewire.org is down for upgrades atm.Or you may want to let attempt a couple of times. It may be trying to access a server that isn't online like faygue*.
Flash
Why don't you just move to Quakenet?! lol... Problem: I have to connect to quakenet as im in a CS clan and i need to be on there alot. Thing is i want to join the MSFN room too... Can i open another connection through purple wire to it? (Im sure you can). What will be the command for it in my perform to open another connection? My perform looks like this:-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------/MSG Q@CServe.quakenet.org AUTH Flash_X_ *******/join #TNo.cs/join #TNO.tacs ******/join #utd/join #omni.cs/join #D*E/join #omni.tacs *****/join #mncops/join #MSFN irc://phoenix.purplewire.org:6667/MSFN/--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Now how do i do it then?! Flash
Well, i tried that... Now, i left a space in my perform as i thought i should, it loads my normal quakenet up, then it loads 2 lots of Altnet with my normal chans and MSFN and a single server - purplewire which does not open anything. How lame, lol... Anyone got any ideas?
Aaron
If you add/server -m rollingrock.purplewire.org -j #MSFN to your perform list you'll be opening a new server window for Altnet everytime you reconnect to Quakenet. The best method for connecting to multiple servers is to bring up the IRC Options window, select a server and tick the box to 'New server window'. And repeat the process for the number of networks you reside on. I stay connected to 4 networks, and only have to do this process 4 times on bootup until my next reboot, or when I close mirc
