Well, place your bets.

I don't want to use XP anymore... Now I use Windows Server 2003 - Enterprise Edition.

I don't know if I wanna switch it, I thought about switcing into 2000.

Well, what do you think? what do I need to do \;

P.S

I know XP related stuff aren't supposted to be here, but it's a small thing and the others do related to this forum.

It all depends on what you plan to do with the Os

Serve?Game? Workstation?

that determins what kind of Os one should use.

I thought about open a specific server on Win2003 but then(after I've installed it) I saw I couldn't open one.

I play only in HL mods and a little workstation.

I know Win2000 is not super for games but it's only HL \;

Use Windows 2000 with SP3 (SP4 goes final at mid-June), install Dx9.0a and some DirectX compatible graphics drivers and you're good to go for playing games. Win2k is just as good as XP for games. (although, not for everyone...)

Go back to XP when SP2 comes out, should fix a lot of bugs then :)

Maybe I will, maybe I won't.

P.S

Can I just download Win2000 pro and somehow install SP3 on it?

indeed windows 2000 is great but im leaning twards 2003 just a tad bit because it seem more stable the only flaw i seen so far is the frekin 10 min startup that i have to go through but other that that i think 2003 is great next to 2000 lol

huh..10 mins?

What kind of rig you got mate? I was running it on a P3 866 with 768 ram and it was quite snappy..fast boot loads and responce..

I ain't sure if the Win2k trial will allow Service Pack installations. Maybe someone else can verify this.

Why trial? don't worry, I got a vaild key, if that's what you meant \;

don't agree, i've tried xp for very long and i got very surprised with the stability then i rolled back to 2k en i must say I'm disappointed with the so often called "MS's most stable SO" it's slow, my cd's take WAY MUCH longer to record en the games run a lil bit slow i know i haven't a great pc but on XP its v good
