TheBlackMan Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Is there a program out there that searches for tag information and automatically fills it along with cover art based on the filename or any other criteria?
Alanoll Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 i've been using mp3Tag I think that's the name. It allows for you to select a group of MP3 files, say an entire album, and the search freedb or Amazon for the ID3 tag information.
atomizer Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 MP3Tag is a great app! but there is nothing that i'm aware of that simply auto-tags. everything i've come across uses a database and requires some manual input.
nmX.Memnoch Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 MP3 Tag Tools will allow you to do it based on filename structure, or even folder name structure. See the two options at the lower right of this screenshot:http://massid3lib.sourceforge.net/images/mttv1.2main.pngMore information at the website:http://massid3lib.sourceforge.net/
FredMet Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Sorry, may be I am late with my reply . There are many tag editors on the market, you can give some of them a try. mp3Tag Pro, Tag&Rename, Music Tag Editor. Some of them have more useful features, anothers -less ones. I chose mp3Tag Pro.

Tripredacus Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 I have a feeling he found the answer to his question 3 years ago Indeed, but honestly, your ripping program should be automatically tagging your files for you so you don't have to go this extra step.
