I had to go Way Back in this thread for this:

home made

havent had a brand name since the commodore 64

Me too!

Except that I didn't care much for the OS on the C-64, so I re-wrote it.

Been building my own PC's ever since my first IBM XT Clone, that

sort of replaced my C-64.

On new PC's today (any brand name) it takes me over an hour to just get

all the crapware and spyware off of the HD, so I can finish setting the PC up for

my customer, installing their ISP and email, etc.

I know this thread wasn't opened to badmouth any particular brand of PC,

but I concur that Dell would sure top my list of JUNK.

Y'all have a great day now, Y'hear?

custom build usually means you buy the components separately and build the pc yourself. technically Dell and others let you customize a pc to buy too. I am in the custom build camp, again I build it myself. I prefer the Shuttle XPC's. :)

A custom built PC is the way to go. Therefore you can upgrade your PC anytime without specially made products, like Dell for example, which is only compatible with Dell only hardware, which is pathetic, and not to mention, more money. And its much cheaper to build a custom built PC.

ah

I thought it was a company since many here said "Custom Build" (they used " ")

I would say that "custom build" is not a valid "pc make".

Unless you own your own company that makes custom builds...
