Shark007
This is a switchless Installer for MSN Messenger 7.5.0324 The installation is based on a MSI which i created. Upon installation: no msn toolbar, no msn search, no msn home, it will create a desktop shortcut, and a quicklaunch shortcut During install, you will see 'MSN Messenger 7.5 (modified)' and also Under Add/Remove Programs the same message is displayed. The handwriting TAB will work from default.Unmodified version Get it here (7.24meg)Patched version Get it here (7.24meg)Here are the Patched settings I used...Contact List Window:Remove MSN LogoRemove Messenger TitleRemove MSN Today ButtonRemove My Space ButtonAdd Sign Out ButtonRemove Search BarRemove Button TextChange Display Picture LinkRemove AdvertisementDisable MSN Spaces Contact Card IntegrationRemove Bottom Links in Sign In WindowRemove Microsoft Passport Network BrandingFix Add Contact Bar PositionAdd Always On Top ButtonInstant Message Window:Remove MSN LogoRemove Block ButtonRemove Color ButtonRemove Search ButtonRemove Backgrounds ButtonRemove Packs ButtonRemove What’s Hot ButtonRemove Standard Toolbar TextRemove Formatting Toolbar TextRemove AdvertisementRemove To:BarRemove Webcam Icon from To:Bar and Avatar ContainersRemove Nudge DelayAdd Send Buttun to Handwriting TabAdd mess.be games manually by hex-edit because A-patch didn’t do this correctlyRemove yellow info BarRemove "Get a webcam Link"Add Always On Top ButtonRemove "says' textOffline System TrayPolygamyShow Idle StatusRemove File Transfer ProtectionRemove Billing Info MenusShorten Status Info in Info BarBoost PSM to 500 CharactersInstall WinAMP Plug-in for Now Playing FeatureIf you extract the files from my installer, you can substitute your own hacked files and repackage it. kartel
Cant you download the version from M$ and use winzip to extract the MsnMsgs.msi ?I'd be careful using a hacked messenger.
mickmack
kartel: you are careful to use hacked MSN but don't you like annoying advertising that comes with it? offers to bye webcam, to bye winks, packs, search and all this crap. do you like it? Shark007
@kartel, i'd be careful too, except for a few things, I have been around these forums for almost 2yrs and have made over 300 posts, If i was trying to hack you i doubt i'd leave such a trail, and had been exposed long ago. 2ndly, the uninstall feature is fully functional, and will remove the app completely including the registry entries.shark Edited March 4, 2006 by Shark007
Shark007
This little package i put together will allow you to recordMSN Messenger streaming video on the fly. I used autoit3 to create the installer. An icon for the program is placed in the Start Menu under Applications. This program uses 2 freeware utilities.1st program / 2nd programThese 2 programs can be fully uninstalled thru add/remove programs. On my personal computer this installs troublefree. On several testbench computers,it has an error on install but everything works fine after a reboot. The program autostarts itself on bootup and places an icon in the system tray.It begins to record upon connection of a cam to you in MSN Messenger. When saving the captured video you must choose an apropriate compressor such as Divx or Xvid.Get it here(932kb)shark

Any chance of the autoit3 source ? I would prefer to put elsewhere instead of the Applications group in the Start Menu. Thanks -D.
Shark007
The autoit3 file is setup.exe, it is not protected.Install.exe contains the following batch commands:setup.exemd "%userprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\Applications"move "%userprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\MSN Webcam Recorder\MSN Webcam Recorder.lnk" "%userprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\Applications\"rd /s /q "%allusersprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\WinPcap"copy "%userprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\MSN Webcam Recorder\MSN Webcam Recorder.lnk" "%userprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\Applications\"rd /s /q "%userprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\MSN Webcam Recorder"I'm not sure why i moved and then copied that shortcut,i think i just forgot to remove the move comand.Install.exe is the file exectuted to perform the installation.shark Edited December 23, 2005 by Shark007

Shark007
I have downloaded the newest version of msn (7.5). However, the handwriting tab doesn't appear.... am i missing a patch or something?Uninstall any previous version through Add/Remove programs. This installation doesnt change previous settings. There is a checkbox under Tools/Options/Messages to 'Show the Handwriting...' I suggest you look there. Also, I have updated the Installer again because the Handwiting feature was missing the SEND tab. Download it again today if you downloaded it yesterday.shark Edited February 5, 2006 by Shark007
