Just bought a DVD Burner

for 100.00 EURO. It is from a close friend that previously purchased an Aopen and had to return it to the store after because it stopped reading. The store sent it to the manufacturer for repair or replacement. In he mean time he bought the new Sony and is quite happy with it. Here it is four weeks later and he got tired of waiting so he went back to the store and demanded a refund or replacement. They gave him a new TEAC. He sold it to me today.

This is a TEAC DV-W50EK, 4X DVD, 2x DVD-RW, 16x CD-R, 8x CD-RW.

I'm not planning to buy one soon, as it will be the same price as a cdrom next year. I bought my Creative CDRW 8x4x32 for $400; now you cna get a 52x24x52 for $70.

How is media over in Europe for DVD burners? Pricey or cheap?

BigBooger, DVD R is EURO 1.30 each and DVD R/W is EURO 3.00 each. Thats retail prices. Later today we will look around the net for bulk prices, but we expect to pay .90 cents each for 100 or more. The receipt for this model is EURO 385.00
