apparently there is a revised version of the Q316638 hotfix which has newer Portcls.sys file. you may also ask Petr to help you get the newer hotfix if you cant get it.

EDIT: I should also point out that I could NOT get 899282 from Microsoft. If anyone has the file, could they please send it to me so I can include it in the SP.

I seems that all of KB832584, KB888617, KB899282 fixes are no longer available.

note to the_guy: new version of ROOTSUPD.EXE released now 234KB in size with updated Root Certificate files.

Vista RC2 build 5744 includes MSVBVM60.DLL 6.00.9796 1378064 bytes. It also has a comment - September 25, 2006. I suppose that's the actual build date.

It's all ok, metapad is in c:\windows, but to put a shortcut in the desktop or in the accessories?

Another problem, the SP doesn't install all updates I think (unfortunately I've sufficient time to read some "Impossible..." in the command prompt, too much fast).

During reboot, appears this message:

Windows could not upgrade the file %1 from %2 %1: %2

Help me.

In response to the error, I get it as well. I ignore it and my computer works fine.
