Help me with my pc

I have gone mad

My computer is causing tripping of the electricity of the house

any ideas what is the problem

I changed the SMPS

still the same

I have presently disconnected the CD and DVD rom Drives

This is my third attempt to post

Last two times it tripped

My engineers know nothing

Help...........................

It will trip again

as for your problem, what exactly happens with the electricity in your house? the lights burn lower or a whole group says good bye or?

definately change your power supply if your sure its the pc thats causing the tripping... sooner or lately it will kill rest of the pc for sure....tryed a power surge protector in between it?

No i did i am going to put a UPS in a day

But presently i assembled a new one for my factory and i am using that

There is no tripping

In my computer i disconnected the CD & DVD Drives also

Remaining parts are

Processor,Motherboard,Ram and HDD

Also the monitor but i am using the same LCD 17" with the new assembled one

Pls help

it's the powersupply of your computer, place a new one and problem will be fixed. This has nothing to do with the rest of your computer.

Have you tried replacing the power cord? The power supply's fuse would blow before tripping the main breaker if it was the power supply.

If your blowing a fuse or tripping a breaker in the building's electrical box, that means you are trying to draw too much power from the circuit. Disconnecting the CD and DVD drives isnt going to help you either, because the amount of power those particular components require isnt all that significant when compared with the rest of the system as a whole. You need to go after much bigger fish.

What other devices are plugged into the same electrical outlet or nearby outlets (be as specific as possible)? By the sounds of it you have to move some loads onto another circuit, and simply changing to a nearby outlet does not gaurantee that it will be on a different circuit.

Well i thought that these devices consume very minimal power

I just have a monitor (LCD) and the CPU installed

I put a UPS to the computer but not the monitor

But it tripped again

Now i connected the Monitor and the Cabinet to the UPS

Putting a UPS between the computer and the wall outlet will not help the situation you are describing. You have to reduce the amount of power you are drawing from the circuit, and putting a UPS in will not lower the power draw. It should let the computer stay running while you go reset the breaker, but that is about all it will accomplish. LCD monitors do not use a significant amount of power either (probably 40-75 Watts when in use). You need to find something that uses several hundred watts or more, and move it to another circuit.

What amperage are youre fuses/breakers? Standard 15 Amp?
