hey guyz how are ya ll?

I managed to change the (white) backgound in any XP folders, by making an desktop.ini file and put the following informations:

[{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}]
Attributes=1
IconArea_Image=.\background.jpg <------------------you photo name in the same folder
IconArea_Text=0x00FFFFFF <--------------- to make the font white

then make this folder in a system attribute simply by (for instance the folder name is Wesmosis

Run> CMD>

c:\attrib Wesmosis +s

I dont know if this will help you but i have done some changes to my desktop.ini files and inorder to make any changes take effect i used ATTRIB +S to make it a system file so.

ATTRIB +S "path your folder"

just dont do the path to yoru desktop.ini its the path of the folder you wish to apply the changes to. Just an idea.

I just was blind to see it, I think to see the background in the CD you have to enable the Autoplay option for the CD,

Q:

How large or small should the jpg be?

Would it take gif/png?

That would mean putting a separate jpg in each folder.

phoot? = photo?

photo = phoot it's just a typo

about the size, put any size you want, but you will see only the size of the window wether maxmized or smaller a bit

i.e you can't see the big size photo as a full photo

anyway, about gif and png, try it and tell us

It works with bmp

Yep, it works with png and gif (any animation will be lost).

If the pic is too small it will be tiled to fill the window.

thanx, also works with jpg
