WPI not starting on W2k

Featured Replies

Hello,

First, i have searched the forum but not found the answer. If i was blind you can kick my a** :blushing:

I have a clean unattended W2K box with SP4 and all hotfixes. Also IE6SP1 has been integreated. On first logon IE6SP1 is launching his "setting up browsing services" thingy. Once this has been finished, i'm expecting to see WPI which has been called trough GuiRunOnce but nothing happens. I only see a blank screen. The explorer.exe process seems not to be running. Manually starting explorer.exe gives me the desktop but no WPI. If i reboot the machine the WPI is there. Seems like IE6 is causing the trouble. Anyone with a solution?

Cheers.
