Best AMD 939 Board

all depends on the core, if u have s939 amd and venice core or above then the 4x512 will run somewhat faster. the timings will be tighter but it will run at  2T and some people say that that make difference over 1T but its really like just a 2-3% performance decrease over 1T. if u havea core before the venice then u may not be able to run 4 sticks of ram and if u can then the speed will only be able to run at 133mhz b/c of the crappy cpu memory controller.

with the dfi board and a cpu venice or better then he will be fine running this

with the mushkin redline 4000, alot of people have been able to get 2-2-2 2T timings and with 2x1 the best that any1 has gotten over at XS is 3-3-3-8 1T @ 295MHz

so the ? is do u want tight timings but with 2T or 1T but with loose timings

the 4x512 doesnt overclock as high as the 2x1, so if u want to overclock ur cpu a whole lot then get 2x1 with the crucial balistix

because running all 4 dimms with memory means you can only run at 333mhz (PC2700) when using double sided sticks, or 400mhz @ 2T timing when using single sided dims.

actually all rev e cores can run 4 ds dimms @ 400, it just cant do it at 1T cmdrate.

What is the 2-2-2 2T timing mean? I have no clue at all...

@mekrel- since u have 754 then ur right in ur case, and for one-sided sticks, those allow u to run 4x512 at 1T but there are virtually none of them and they are rly crappy if u can find them so its not worth it

@lostincyberspace2007- 2-2-2 is how fast the ram goes, the main one that matters is the 1st number, the numbers mean how mny times cycles the ram has to go through to complete a full cycle, obviously the lower the numbers then the faster the ram goes
