If you want 2Gb of memory take 2x1GB not 4X512MB because your system will only run with 2T Command rate because of on-die memory controller that athlons have. I f you want 2x1gb take ballistix, they're are best right for overclocking. I would recommend taking 2x512MB G.SKILL LE or OCZPC3200 REV.2 or GEIL ONE, all of them are TCCX samsung chips and you will clock them easily to DRR600. I Run my OCZ Rev.2 at DRR612 2.5-4-3-7 timings and like 20 other timings set to tightest. For power suply I would recommend OCZ POwerSTream 600W or PC Power Cooling 520W. ANd DFI is the best mobo on market today, no doubt, nobody can prove me wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DFI owns ASUS period. Take DFI SLI-DR $169 and get ready for SLI, also this one has SATA2, some versions of -D non sli don't have SATA2. That second graphic slot willl just wait

@Kamil:

I would rather have 2 1gb stick due to upgrades later... and i don't want SLI because just like dual-cpus there WILL be dual-gpus... so im just gonna wait... and what would the point of have 2 cards that already have 2 gpus? :whistle: ...just curious on that one... but anyways... can u link me to the PSU? I was looking for GEIL in 1 gb stick but couldn't find them... I want SATA 2.. the DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra doesn't have any? Damnit then... i need a mobo with SATA 2... i'll be back later @ 5 or so... i have to go to work... so peace out... tILl +H3N m5PHN.ORG 15 T3H lE3t!!! :thumbup

I wouldnt say the DFI owns the asus board, at overclocking it has more features and voltage options at hand which makes it a better board in the eyes of an overclocker.

However the extra space between the PCi-e slots on the Asus and the northbridge heatpipe are very good, esp for people who want 3rd party card coolers which wouldnt fit in the DFI board.

The Asus is flakey with bios support for the X2 chips aswell from what I have read.

my next case will be the antec p180, sweet case. currently running an inwin q500 from '99 on my desktop. i love large cases, easier to stick 120mm fans in them :yes:

also for psu, im running the OCZ powerstream 420. plenty of power. im running 2x120mm, dfi nf4, 7800gtx, 1 maxtor 300gig sata, 1 wd 800jb ide, 1cdrom, 1dvd/cdrw w/o any issues. the ps420 is well underated at 420 watts...

@Ripken204:

There is no link to the case...

@Porn Loader:

Don't u think that case would be a 81TcH to keep clean? I like it... Espically that it holds 3 120mm fans... keepin' it cool

@everyone:

I like the OCZ Powerstream OCZ600ADJ ATX12V 600W Power Supply 100-120V AC/200-240V AC TUV, UL, CSA, CE, CB, FCC... (updating the list....)

nah, the air pulled by the psu can handle the hdd/psu from the reviews ive read. psu will pull enough air through to cool the hdd's. plus my current case has a 120 bottom front 120 top rear, both blowing 95 cfm. clean all my fans and heatsinks about once a month, sucks having 3 long hair cats and smoking.... crap gets sticky :lol:

PL what I mean by being a 81Tch to keep clean was that the case it silver and it would be a noticble factor if the case had fingerprints or anything else on there.... better if it was a black with a clearcoat finish... wouldn't u think? :blink:

@ Ripken204:

Look at this about this over here...
