os2fan2 Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 The name 'vista' has been challanged, considering the problems microsoft has caused with 'windows' as a word. I think that vista is going to be a no-show.

Never released (became Whistler). That's wrong. Neptune was basically a failed alpha version of ME. It was supposed to be a Home version of Windows 2000, but it most certainly didn't have the same codebase, nor kernel. It's PV is 4x (2000 is 5x). I actually have a copy. Oh, that reminds me. I wanna run it on my VM. I've never even seen this thing. rofl. Edited July 26, 2005 by Dumpy Dooby
prathapml Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Neptune is what XP Home is......And FYI, many of the features that were to be introduced in Neptune are finally making it, in Vista.
